Claims

1. Device for sanding a tennis court in order to achieve a sand court surface that is as even as possible, with a sand storage box, an axle with two wheels, a rod with a handle for moving the device, and a slot in the box for distributing the sand, characterized in that

a) the device is a motor-driven ride-on device,

b) a frame ( 2 ) of the device accommodates a wheel axle with two wheels ( 4 , 5 ), a sand container ( 3 ), a drive ( 10 ) and a driver's seat ( 6 ),

c) a continuous, slot-like opening ( 15 ) is provided on the container bottom ( 3 ') for the controlled discharge of the sand to be distributed in the container ( 3 ) with a dispensing device ( 20 ) associated with the opening, and

d) the front end of the device has a steering system ( 8 ) with a support and steering wheel arrangement ( 7 ) which can be operated from the driver's seat ( 6 ).

2. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the steering and control wheel arrangement ( 7 ) is a single steering wheel, and that the device is designed as a three-wheeled vehicle.

3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the single steering wheel ( 7 ) and the two wheels ( 4 , 5 ) are equipped with wide tires.

4. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the discharge device ( 20 ) is a screw conveyor device.

5. Device according to claim 1 or 4, characterized in that the cross-section of the discharge opening ( 15 ) is continuously adjustable over the entire width of the container ( 3 ).

6. Device according to claim 5, characterized in that an adjusting lever ( 19 ) is arranged within easy reach of the seat ( 6 ).

7. Device according to claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the adjusting lever ( 19 ) is coupled to a slide ( 16 , 17 ) which actuates a dosing device, e.g. adjusts a movable profile plate relative to a fixed profile plate.

8. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the two profile plates ( 16 , 17 ) are congruent, e.g. sawtooth-shaped, and can be moved from a position of maximum overlap or minimum passage into a position of minimum coverage or maximum passage.

9. Device according to claim 1, characterized in that in the region of the two running wheels the sand container interior has wheel housings ( 13 , 14 ).
