Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, eine Glastür zu schaffen, die sich durch eine filigrane Konstruktion auszeichnet und die dennoch eine sehr hohe Schalldämmung bietet. Ferner soll die erfindungsgemäße Tür einfach zu putzen sein und die Möglichkeit aufweisen, einen Sichtschutz an ihr vorzusehen, mittels dem die Glasscheibe wenigstens teilweise verdeckt werden kann.The object of the invention is to create a glass door which is characterized by a delicate construction and which nevertheless offers very high sound insulation. Diese Aufgabe wird durch eine Glastür der eingangs genannten Art gelöst, die zwei oder mehrere durch wenigstens einen Abstandhalter voneinander beabstandete, parallele Glasscheiben zur Bildung einer Doppel- oder Mehrfachverglasung aufweist. Die Außenseiten der Glasscheiben gehen bündig in die Außenseiten des Türrahmens über. Die erfindungsgemäße Glastür zeichnet sich insbesondere dadurch aus, daß ihr durch die Glasscheiben gebildeter Bereich die gleiche Türdicke wie der sie umgebende Türrahmen aufweist, so daß in der Dicke keine Sprünge und keine stufenartigen Übergänge zwischen Glasbereich und Türrahmen vorgesehen sind. Dies wird u.a. dadurch ermöglicht, daß zwischen den beiden Glasscheiben, die die Doppelverglasung bilden, ein Abstandhalter vorgesehen ist, der vorzugsweise auch der Befestigung der Glasscheiben am Türrahmen dient. Wie sich bei Versuchen herausgestellt hat, bietet die erfindungsgemäße Tür überraschenderweise eine Schalldämmung, die nur von herkömmlichen Glastüren erreicht wird, die mit einem sehr teuren Isolierglas ausgestattet sind. Da die Glasscheiben außenseitig absatzlos in den Türrahmen übergehen, ist die Tür sehr leicht zu pflegen und hat aufgrund der fehlenden, von außen aufgesetzten und nach außen überstehenden Leisten ein filigranes, hochwertiges Aussehen. Da ferner die beiden Glasscheiben voneinander beabstandet sind, kann zwischen ihnen ein Sichtschutz vorgesehen sein oder ggf. nachträglich eingebaut werden, der auch vollständig in die Tür integriert ist und in einem abgedichteten Zwischenraum sitzt, so daß der Sichtschutz vor Zerstörung oder Verschmutzung geschützt wird.This object is achieved by a glass door of the type mentioned at the beginning, which has two or more parallel glass panes spaced apart from one another by at least one spacer to form double or multiple glazing.
