Physical sun protection filters are mainly insoluble inorganic pigments based on metal oxides, for example titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, iron oxide or silicon dioxide. Since these pigments are not soluble in sun protection preparations, they are preferably used in micronized form, preferably with a particle size of less than 100 nm, in order to provide a pleasant skin feel, to avoid excessive "whitening" when applying the sun protection preparation, and to avoid covering effects such as with make-up.
Chemical sun protection filters convert the UV radiation that hits the skin into heat energy. Chemical sun protection filters can have both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties and, depending on these properties, a distinction is made between oil-soluble and water-soluble filters. Since human skin has both lipophilic and hydrophilic areas, it is advantageous for a sunscreen to have the most comprehensive effect possible if it contains both oil-soluble and water-soluble filter substances.
In addition to the pure sun protection effect, increasingly higher demands are also being placed on sun protection preparations in terms of their skin compatibility. In addition to the filter substances, conventional sun protection preparations often contain emulsifiers, fats, fat-like substances and/or silicone compounds, which are intended to serve various purposes. Such aids are used to solubilize the UV-filtering substances used in these products, to achieve moisturizing properties, to improve the spreadability of the products, to produce emulsions and/or to adjust the viscosity. However, these substances have long been the subject of critical discussion in connection with intolerance reactions, such as the well-known "Mallorca acne".
Sunscreen preparations are often formulated as oils, emulsions, lotions or gels, with gels offering the advantage of being particularly well tolerated by the skin. Sunscreen preparations in the form of hydrodispersion gels have proven to be particularly advantageous.
Such polyacrylates, for example from the Pemulen® or Carbolpol® series, are often used as thickeners or consistency agents in the formulation of sun protection preparations. However, such polyacrylates have various disadvantages, such as the residual solvent content of some types of polyacrylate, a high sensitivity to salts (which is disadvantageous in seawater-resistant sun protection formulations and because of the salts on the skin surface, e.g. due to heavy sweating), the need for pH adjustment (neutralization), which is often carried out with triethanolamine, with the latter in turn presenting the problem of nitrosamine formation.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a well-tolerated, stable gel-like sunscreen agent which comprises both oil-soluble and water-soluble sunscreen filters and is also free of polyacrylates.
This problem is solved by the composition defined in the independent claim.
The dependent claims define advantageous embodiments of the invention.
Der Vorteil von Magnesium-Aluminiumsilikat liegt darin, daß es sich hierbei um ein natürliches ProduktAccording to the present invention, it was surprisingly found that cosmetically acceptable hydrodispersion gels with sufficiently high sun protection factors can be formulated using magnesium aluminum silicate. The advantage of magnesium aluminum silicate is that it is a natural product

Darüber hinaus ist es nicht salzempfindlich und bedarf auch keinerlei Neutralisationsschritte.which does not exhibit the disadvantages discussed above of the polyacrylates used in previously known formulations. In particular, the use of magnesium aluminum silicate does not result in the residual solvent problem. In addition, it is not sensitive to salt and does not require any neutralization steps.
