Es ist hierzu bekannt, den Beatmungsschlauch über ein Verbindungssystem in Form eines Drehgelenkes anzukoppeln, welches in einer Achse drehbar ausgeführt ist. Dieses Gelenk kann durch seine eingeschränkte Bewegungsmöglichkeit ein entstehendes Drehmoment zwischen Schlauch und Maske bei bestimmten Kopfbewegungen des Patienten nicht verhindern. Hierdurch besteht die Gefahr, daß der Sitz der Maske verändert wird und es zu unerwünschten Leckagen zwischen Maske und Gesicht kommt.
