Storage and retrieval machine for storing and retrieving individual bars and long goods cassettes in a rack warehouse

The invention relates to a storage and retrieval machine according to the preamble of claim 1.

DE-OS 34 33 736 describes a rack storage system in which long goods cassettes and individual rods can be stored and optionally stored and retrieved. The rack storage and retrieval machine for this storage and retrieval consists of a trolley running over the rack and a traverse suspended from it by ropes that can be lowered into the rack aisles, on which telescopic arms for the long goods cassettes are provided on one side and telescopic arms for the individual rods on the other side.

With this storage and retrieval machine, the cassettes and the individual bars must be placed in a special arrangement in the shelf, since the telescopic arms can only work from one side at a time.

The object of the invention is to create an improved, specially designed, combined storage and retrieval device, which enables the optional storage and retrieval of individual bars or cassettes arranged at any location in the shelf warehouse and is simply constructed for the optional storage and retrieval and can work variably.

This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of claim 1.

The subsequent subclaims contain design features which represent advantageous further developments of the task solution.

The storage and retrieval device according to the invention is formed by a gantry crane which has a cassette gripping receptacle and an individual bar gripping receptacle one behind the other in the direction of crane travel and which, with these two gripping receptacles, enables cassettes and individual bars to be stored and retrieved alternately.

These two gripping devices are suspended from a common chain that runs in both ends and for the gripping devices to work for loading and unloading cassettes, the gripping device for the individual bars is fixed and for working with the individual bar gripping device, the cassette gripping device is fixed, so that the chain then only ever moves one of the two gripping devices in height.

These gripping devices are fixed to the carriages in a vertically guided manner and the chains run over several stationary deflection wheels and two lifting wheels coupled to the gripping devices. These two gripping devices allow the cassettes and individual bars to be stored in any way in the various places in the rack storage (independent of location), as both gripping devices can reach every place of the cassettes and individual bars by working in both directions.

The storage and retrieval machine (P) is used for the optional storage and retrieval of individual bars (1) and long goods cassettes (2) in a rack storage (R). The rack storage (R) has supports (4) on upright rack supports (3) that form shelves for the individual bars (1) and the long goods cassettes (2). The storage and retrieval machine (P) can be moved across the rack storage (R) across the rack aisles (5) and has a gripping receptacle (6) for at least one individual bar (1) and a gripping receptacle (7) for a cassette (2); the gripping receptacles (6, 7) can be moved in height for the single bar and cassette storage in the rack aisles (5). The storage and retrieval machine is formed by a gantry crane (P) with two gripping receptacles (6, 7) arranged one behind the other in the gantry crane travel direction (F) and guided in the height direction (H), which can be moved in height alternately on a common, end chain (9) arranged on the two crane front sides, motor-driven and held in an end fixed point (8) for optional cassette or individual bar storage.

The gantry crane (P) has two gripping receptacles (6, 7) on each of its two sides located outside the rack aisles (5), of which the cassette gripping receptacle (7) is formed by a frame part (7a) that reaches under the longitudinal front end of the cassette (2) for storage and retrieval. The single-bar gripping receptacle (6) consists of a support beam (6a) running in the longitudinal direction of the rack aisles and support prisms (6b) extending from it on both sides and arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the support beam, with the same and/or different prism sizes on the two sides of the support beam.

The two end frame parts (7a) of the cassette gripping receptacles (7) and the support beam (6a) with the support prisms (6b) of the single rod gripping receptacle (6) are each mounted on an end carriage (10, 11) whose height can be adjusted by means of the two chains (9).

The carriages (10, 11) are guided by rollers (12, 13) in a second carriage (14, 15) each with limited height adjustment in the vertical direction (H), and these second carriages (12, 13) run on guides (18) of the gantry crane (P) by means of rollers (16, 17) and can be moved in the vertical direction (H) to a limited extent by stops (not shown) on the guides (18). The carriages (14, 15) hit the stops in the upper position and in the lowermost position, and then the carriages (10, 11) of the gripping receptacles (6, 7) forming the inner carriages can be moved further up and further down in the second outer carriage (14, 15) until they hit the outer carriages (14, 15) at the top and bottom.

The two frame parts (7a) of the cassette gripping holders (7) are only attached to the inner carriages (10) and the single bar gripping holder (6) has a support beam (6a) that extends through the entire rack aisle (5) and is attached with its beam ends to the two inner carriages (11).

The two front-end chains (9) run from a chain station (storage) (KS) via deflection wheels (19, 20, 21) fixed in the gantry crane (P) and a lifting wheel (22, 23) rotatably mounted on the cassette carriage (10) and on the single bar carriage (11) to the end-side fixed point (8).

From the chain storage (KS), each of the two chains (9) is guided slightly upwards over a guide plate (24) to the first deflection wheel (19), then downwards around the carriage-side lifting wheel (22) of the cassette gripping receptacle (7), then upwards over two deflection wheels (20, 21) at the same height to the single-bar gripping receptacle (6) and then downwards around the lifting wheel (23) and back up to the fixed point (8), which is designed as a tab with a screw or similar to secure the end of the chain. The beginning of the chain on the storage side is attached to the guide plate (24).

The stationary deflection wheels (19, 20, 21) and the fixed point (8) are mounted in the upper area of the gantry crane (P).

Two deflection wheels (19) located opposite each other in the gantry crane (P) on a common shaft (19a) are driven by a drive motor (25) via a belt drive (25a).

The two gripping receptacles (6, 7) are fixed with their carriages (10, 14/11, 15) in the raised position by a locking device (A) alternately for the operation of one or the other gripping receptacle (6, 7) in the gantry crane (P).

For loading and unloading cassettes (2), the single-rod gripper (6) is locked in the raised position opposite the gantry crane (P) and forms a fixed unit with the fixed point (8). The gripper (7) can now be moved in height using the common chain (9) for loading and unloading cassettes, since only the chain run area of the gripper (7) is lengthened or shortened and the chain run area of the gripper (6) remains as a holding point.

The chain (9) then runs around the deflection wheel (19) and lifting wheel (22) to the fixed wheels (20, 21, 23) and the fixed point (8) and moves the lifting wheel (22) with the chain strand area up or down like a pulley.

The same applies to the single rod gripping device (6), in which the gripping device (7) is locked in the upper position and then the chain (9) runs over the fixed wheels (19, 22, 20, 21) to the lifting wheel (23), lengthens or shortens and this moves up or down like a bottle with the slides (11, 15). When the inner carriage (10, 11) is lowered, it carries the outer carriage (14, 15), since the inner carriage (10, 11) has moved fully upwards under the outer carriage (14, 15).

When the outer carriage (14, 15) has reached the lowest position, it is stopped by the stops and then the outer carriage (14, 15) is fixed and the inner carriage (10, 11) can be lowered further.

When moving up, the inner carriage (10, 11) moves upwards first and then takes the outer carriage (14, 15) with it when it stops on the upper part of the outer carriage (14, 15).

As an alternative to the chains (9), toothed belts or ropes could also be used and the carriages (10, 11, 14, 15) can also be formed from sledges.

The gantry crane (P) runs on a chassis (26) with wheels (28) driven by a drive (27) on elevated rails (31) of the rack storage (R). The guides (18) are attached to upright stands (29) and the drive (24) as well as the stationary deflection wheels (19, 20, 21) and the fixed point (8) are attached to upper crossbeams (30) of the gantry crane (P).

Storage and retrieval device for storing and retrieving individual bars and long goods cassettes in a rack warehouse, whereby the rack warehouse is provided with supports for the individual bars and the long goods cassettes forming shelves on upright rack stands, and the storage and retrieval device can be moved across the rack warehouse transversely to the rack aisles and has a gripping receptacle for at least one individual bar and a gripping receptacle for a cassette, which can be moved in height for the storage of individual bars and cassettes in the rack aisles, characterized in that the same is a gantry crane (P) with two gripping arms (6, 7) arranged one behind the other in the gantry crane travel direction (F) and guided in the height direction (H), which can be moved in height alternately on a common, end chain (9) arranged on both front sides, driven by a motor and held in an end fixed point (8) for optional cassette or individual bar storage. 2. Storage and retrieval device according to claim 1, characterized in that the gantry crane (P) has two gripping receptacles (6, 7) in each of its two front sides located outside the rack aisles (5), of which the cassette gripping receptacle (7) is formed by a frame part (7a) that reaches under the longitudinal front end of the cassette (2) for storage and retrieval, and the single bar gripping receptacle (6) is formed by a support beam (6a) running in the longitudinal direction of the rack aisle and support prisms (6b) extending from it on both sides and arranged at a distance from one another in the longitudinal direction of the support beam, with the same and/or different prism size on the two sides of the support beam. Storage and retrieval device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the carriages (10, 11) are guided with rollers (12, 13) in a second carriage (14, 15) in a limited vertical direction (H) and these second (outer) carriages (14, 15) are limitedly movable in the vertical direction (H) by means of rollers (16, 17) on guides (18) of the gantry crane (P) by stops on the guides (18). 5. Storage and retrieval device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the two front-end chains (9) are guided from a chain station (storage) (KS) via deflection wheels (19, 20, 21) arranged in a fixed position in the gantry crane (P) and a lifting wheel (22, 23) rotatably mounted on the cassette carriage (10) and on the single bar carriage (11) to the end-side fixed point (8). 6. Storage and retrieval device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that two deflection wheels (19) located opposite one another in the gantry crane (P) on a common shaft (19a) are driven by a drive motor (25) via a belt drive (25a). 7. Storage and retrieval device according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the two gripping receptacles (6, 7) with their carriages (10, 14/11, 15) can be fixed in the raised position by a locking device (A) alternately for the work of one or the other gripping receptacle (6, 7) in the gantry crane (P).
