Abstract

The clasp comprises two fastener elements which each consists of two plastic or metal parts which are hinged together at one end and resiliently engage with each other at the other end, clamping the end of the strap in between. Each part has a lateral protrusion forming the male and female parts of the clasp, which may be of the standard type, e.g. a clip and eyelet. It is also possible for hook and eye tapes to be attached to the strap under cover of the plastic or metal parts. These parts require no stitching thereby providing a neat and easy fitting, whilst also allowing the wearer to adjust the length of the strap without difficulty.
