Abstract

A storage bin for collecting refuse, recycling material etc. has fixed rear and side panels and with a front door and a hinged cover (2). The cover is hinged on the rear panel and is fitted with one or more access flaps (3) which allow the user to thrown in material without having to lift the whole cover. Each access flap has a lower edge turned over the edge of the bin to form a simple hand grip. The flap is hinged at one side, with the hinge fitted with a bracket which limits the opening angle to an inclined, stable setting. The flap has a view panel, covered with a plastic pane, to check the level of material in the bin. The bin can also be fitted with an interior light operating for a set period when a flap is opened.

Description

The invention relates to a closure flap with garbage insertion opening(s) for housings for setting garbage and recyclables containers according to the preamble of claim 1 and to an insertion cover for closure flaps of housings for setting garbage and recyclables containers according to the preamble of claim 6.

Standard flaps with or without a lid for housings for accommodating garbage and recyclables containers, consisting of a box-like housing with an opening that can be closed by doors for inserting the empty large container and removing the filled one, are known.

The housings for the garbage and recycling containers are made, in the usual way, from precast concrete parts, concrete slabs, sheet metal, plastic or Eternit slab constructions. The housings are closed at the top by a cover flap that covers the entire width of the housing.

The disadvantage of the known housings is that the entire flap has to be opened to throw in garbage. This requires a lot of force.

It is also known that the cover flap forming the upper cover of the housing has one or more small insertion openings that can also be closed with a cover. The disadvantage, however, is that when the cover flaps are opened, they swing backwards or to the side and cause disturbing noise when they hit the cover flap or the housing.

To ensure that children and older people can move the lids without difficulty, they are made of lightweight materials such as plastic or thin sheet metal.
However, the design of the lid makes it difficult for small and disabled people to handle.

The invention is based on the object of designing closure flaps of housings for setting up garbage and recyclables containers with the insertion lids that close the insertion openings in such a way that the insertion lids can be closed properly and handled easily and that hitting the closure flap or the side walls of the housing is excluded when opening them.

Furthermore, the invention is based on the object of creating closure flaps with which already installed housings can be retrofitted for placing garbage and recyclables containers, wherein the insertion lids closing the insertion openings are designed in such a way that the insertion lids can be closed properly and handled easily and that when opening them, hitting the closure flap or striking the side walls of the housing is excluded.

The object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claims 1 and 6. Particular embodiments can be found in the subsequent subclaims.

According to the invention, a cover with a handle is provided on the insertion openings in the closure flap, which has a long downward-reaching gripping edge on the side facing the inlet and outlet openings of the housing. In order to reduce the noise when the lid is slammed shut, a rubber buffer can be provided underneath it.

To ensure that the lid can only be opened to a certain angle, the lid holding plate has a slope that slopes down towards the lid and/or the lid has a slope on the hinge side. The opening angle is between 100 and 135° and preferably 115°.

In view of the large number of housings for storing garbage and recycling containers that are already set up for disposal in residential complexes and in public places, there is also an urgent need for closing flaps with which these housings for storing garbage and recycling containers can be retrofitted so that they are suitable for the user-friendly collection of the amount of garbage thrown in.

A closure flap is understood to mean any component that is suitable for covering or closing the top surface of a housing for placing garbage and recycling containers. To retrofit housings that have already been installed, it is only necessary to remove the existing cover, which is usually detachably attached, and replace it with a new closure flap that has the features according to the invention.

The closure flap according to the invention can therefore be retrofitted without great effort to existing housings for storing garbage and recyclables containers.

Figure 1 shows the housing 1, which consists of three walls with or without a base and the closing flap 2. The closing flap 2 is arranged so that it can pivot on the rear wall or the side walls. In the closing flap 2, two insertion lids 3 are arranged so that they can pivot towards the sides via hinges 4.

Figure 2 shows the insertion cover 3 with integrated hinge 4 covering the insertion openings 5. The insertion cover 3 rests firmly on the closure flap 2 when closed. To open the insertion cover 3, a handle 6 with a deeply drawn-down handle end is hinged to the side.

In order to prevent the insertion lid 3 from hitting the side walls of the housing 1 or the closure flap 2, a lid-holding plate 8 is placed on the closure flap 2 directly above the bent hinge tube 7 when the insertion lid 3 is mounted. The surface 9 of the lid-holding plate 8 is preferably designed to slope down in the direction of the insertion lid 2. The surface 10 of the insertion lid 3 can also be designed to be slanted. The special design of the surface 9 of the lid-holding plate 8 in conjunction with the surface 10 of the insertion lid 3 means that when the insertion lid 3 is opened, it cannot be opened beyond a desired opening angle. In other words, it cannot tip over.

For quick visual control of the filling level in the set container, a window 11 is provided in the insertion lid 3. To avoid odor nuisance,

Closure flap with insertion opening(s) for housings for placing garbage or recyclables containers, consisting of three side walls with or without a base and/or without a partially fixed roof and a front door, characterized in that insertion lids ( 3 ) are provided in the closure flap ( 2 ) to close the insertion opening(s) ( 5 ), in which a handle ( 6 ) with a long downwardly extending gripping edge is hinged to the side of the insertion lid ( 3 ) facing the entry and exit opening and a lid opener plate ( 8 ) is arranged directly above the hinge tube ( 7 ) bent onto the insertion lid ( 3 ). 2. Closure flap according to claim 1, characterized in that for blocking at a certain opening angle, the lid holding plate ( 8 ) has a slope ( 9 ) sloping towards the insertion lid ( 3 ). 3. Insert lid according to claim 6, characterized in that in order to block the insert lid ( 3 ) after installation on a closure flap ( 2 ) in order to block the insert lid ( 3 ) at a certain opening angle, the lid holding plate ( 8 ) has a slope ( 9 ) sloping down towards the insert lid ( 3 ). 8.
