PLASTIC GUTTER

The invention relates to a plastic gutter with an at least substantially U-shaped gutter profile, wherein the plastic gutter can be assembled from individual gutter profile elements which can be connected to one another at the end and which each have a gutter lower part which is delimited on both sides by a gutter wall projecting upwards in the direction of an open side of the plastic gutter.

Such a plastic gutter is known from DE 197 31 585 A1.

The previously known plastic gutter is made up of U-shaped gutter elements that are connected to each other at the ends with a seal. The aim of the invention is to create a gutter system that is easy to install and still seals even with slight steps, in which a locking device acting in a vertical direction is provided in the upper area of the gutter to hold the gutter elements in their connecting position. Such plastic gutters are becoming increasingly popular. They are increasingly replacing corresponding concrete and metal gutters, as they offer significant advantages in production and assembly due to their lower weight and often lower production costs. The lightweight plastic material also offers advantages in storage and assembly because it can be moved and assembled on site without the need for assistants or lifting machines.

However, plastic gutters are still considered to be less resilient than comparable concrete gutters, so that plastic gutters are still rarely used in higher load classes.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a plastic gutter with increased load-bearing capacity.

Such plastic gutters are often used in conjunction with drainage systems, so that the underside of the gutter can advantageously be provided with a drain adapter for connecting a drain pipe of such a drainage system. It has proven to be advantageous if the drain adapter is only installed on site, preferably at the construction site. The drain adapter can be screwed to the underside of the gutter. Self-tapping screws can simply be used.

For this purpose, the adapter piece has a pipe socket and a connecting piece, whereby the connecting piece takes up the outer contour of the underside of the gutter in a form-fitting manner and this connecting piece can be screwed to the underside of the gutter by means of corresponding screw holes in fastening tabs.

In an advantageous further development, the drain adapter is provided with a conical pipe connection socket so that different pipe cross-sections can be connected to one and the same drain adapter.

Both the connector and the pipe socket can be provided with appropriate pre-assembled sealing rings at the factory to enable a tight connection of the drain pipes.

The frame formed accordingly into the side walls of the gutter profile elements is provided with locking recesses for receiving locking elements of the gutter cover.

In an advantageous embodiment, the recesses are provided with attachment elements that project into the frame area in the direction of the inside of the channel, but which essentially leave the clear cross-section of the recess free.

The gutter covers of the plastic gutter, which are preferably made of plastic, are provided with locking tabs that protrude from the outside of the actual gutter body and, when installed correctly, lock into the recesses in a force-fitting and form-fitting manner. This creates a removable pull-out protection for the gutter cover.

Figure 1 shows a single gutter profile element 1 in a perspective view obliquely from above. The gutter profile element 1 essentially consists of a gutter base 2, which is delimited by two side walls 3, 3' extending from the gutter base 2 in the direction of the open side of the U-shaped profile. On the side walls 3, 3' of the gutter profile elements 1 arranged on both sides, a frame 4 for receiving a gutter cover 23 is provided on the upper side facing the open side of the U-profile. The frame 4 is closed off on the top by an upper edge 5, 5', which is formed by a bevel of the side walls 3, 3'. The edge 5, 5' merges on the outside into a stiffening apron 6, 6" which, when installed as intended, is essentially slightly inclined and which leads to the formation of a double wall in the upper area of the side walls 3, 3' facing the open side of the gutter profile element 1. The fact that the stiffening apron 3, 3' is slightly inclined in the exemplary embodiment results in considerable manufacturing advantages when the gutter profile element 1 is removed from the mold. The stiffening apron 6, 6" merges with increasing distance from the upper edge 5, 5' of the side wall into a side band 8, 8' each provided with large-area openings 7, 7', which ensure that the gutter profile elements 1 are penetrated in this area by their respective installation environment.

This is particularly helpful before any concrete bed or foundation hardens, as this virtually eliminates any unintentional shifting or slipping, especially in the longitudinal direction of the gutter profile elements 1.

The side walls 3, 3', but also the gutter bottom part 2 are additionally supported by stiffening ribs 10, which are arranged at a distance from one another over the length of the gutter profile element 1. The stiffening ribs 10 lead to additional stiffening of the gutter profile elements 1 and thus to stiffening of the plastic gutter composed of these gutter profile elements 1.

The gutter profile elements 1 are joined together at their open end faces to form a seal with the adjacent gutter profile element 1.

As mentioned, a gutter cover 23, which will be explained below, is inserted into the frame 4. For this purpose, the frame 4 is provided with locking recesses 11, the detailed structure of which can be seen in particular from the detailed view in Figure 2.

According to this detailed illustration in Figure 2, the side walls 3, 3' are each provided with locking recesses 11, wherein an attachment piece 12 is provided in the area of these locking recesses 11, the essentially triangular cross section of which protrudes on the inside in the area of the frame 4. The attachment element 12, however, still exposes the locking recess 11.

The interaction of the locking recess 11 or the offset element 12 with the gutter cover 2 3 to be inserted into the frame 4 will be explained below.

Figure 3 shows the gutter profile element 1 in a perspective view from below. This view clearly shows the arrangement of the stiffening ribs 10 that engage underneath the gutter profile element 1. Also evident from the illustration in Figure 3 is that the front side of the U-profile of the gutter profile elements 1, which is opened for connecting additional gutter profile elements 1, can be closed with an end piece 13 that can be locked into the corresponding locking elements that are arranged on the front side of the gutter profile 1 in such a way that the drainage channel opened by the gutter profile elements 1 is closed at this point.

Gutter profile elements 1 are usually used in conjunction with drainage systems that already exist or are yet to be installed, so that the liquid that is channeled through the gutter profile elements during normal use must be drained away. For this purpose, the gutter profile elements 1 can be connected to a drain adapter that is screwed to the underside of the gutter profile elements 1. Figure 3 shows the drain adapter 14 both in the not yet installed state and an attachment element 18 for the drain adapter 14 that is molded onto the gutter lower part 2.

Fastening tabs 16 with screw holes 17 are formed on the connecting piece 15, via which the connecting piece 15 can be screwed to the underside 2 of the gutter, preferably using self-tapping screws from underneath the gutter. The connecting piece 15 merges into a pipe section 20 on the side facing away from the underside 2 of the gutter, in which a pipe connection piece 21 is arranged concentrically for connecting any drainage pipe. The pipe connection piece 21 is provided with a conically tapered connection area 22 in order to be able to connect any drainage pipes of different cross-sections to the drain adapter 14 and thus to the plastic gutter assembled from the gutter profile elements 1.

Figure 6 shows a gutter cover 23. In the exemplary embodiment presented here, the gutter cover 23 is made of plastic. Of course, the plastic gutter according to the invention or the gutter profile elements 1 can also be used in conjunction with metal gutter covers.

The gutter cover 23 consists of a grate 24 formed by longitudinal and transverse webs, which is enclosed by a frame element 25. On the long sides of the frame element, locking tabs 26 are formed which protrude beyond the remaining cross-section of the gutter cover and are supported by a locking tab 26 which is smaller than the remaining cross-section of the locking tab 26.

In the area of the locking tab 26, on the underside facing the frame 4 of the respective gutter profile element 1, a receiving pocket 30 is provided. The receiving pocket 30 is set back from the rest of the frame element 25 in the area of the locking tab 26. 0

The detailed view in Figure 7 shows the interaction of the gutter cover 23 with the frame 4 for locking the gutter cover 23.

According to Figure 7, the locking tab 26 is clipped into the locking recess 11 in a spring-loaded manner, with the locking bead 27 locking in the recess 11. At the same time, the attachment element 12 is received in the receiving pocket 30 of the frame element 25. The locking of the locking tab 26 in the receiving element 11 forms a releasable pull-out protection for the gutter cover 23, while the attachment element 12 received in the receiving pocket 30 ensures that the gutter cover 23 cannot be pushed inside the frame in the longitudinal extension of the plastic gutter.

The above thus describes a gutter profile element 1 for constructing a plastic gutter, which has increased robustness and rigidity compared to conventional plastic gutters, in particular by forming a double wall in the upper gutter wall area, and at the same time is provided with a frame 4, which allows easy installation of the gutter cover 23 and offers both tensile and shear protection.

Claims (12)

1. Plastic gutter with an at least substantially U-shaped gutter profile, wherein the plastic gutter is made up of individual gutter profile elements ( 1 ) which can be connected to one another at the end and which each have a gutter lower part ( 2 ) which is delimited on both sides by gutter walls ( 3 , 3 ') projecting upwards in the direction of the open side of the plastic gutter, characterized in that the gutter walls ( 3 , 3 ') each merge towards the open side of the plastic gutter into a frame ( 4 ) suitable for receiving a gutter cover ( 23 ), which is delimited by an upper edge ( 5 , 5 ) of the plastic gutter, which is formed by a bevel of the gutter wall ( 3 , 3 ') and on the outside of the gutter into a stiffening apron ( 6 , 6 ) arranged on the outside at least in the region of the gutter wall ( 3 , 3 '). ') such that at least in this upper region of the channel wall ( 3 , 3 ') a double wall is formed, wherein the stiffening apron (6, 60) merges with increasing distance from the upper edge ( 5 , 5 ') of the channel wall ( 3 , 3 ') into a side band ( 8 , 8 ') which is at least partially perforated by openings ( 7 , 7 '). 2. Plastic gutter according to claim 1, characterized in that the gutter profile elements ( 1 ) are gripped at least on the gutter underside ( 2 ) on the outside wall by stiffening ribs ( 10 ), which are preferably arranged at a distance from one another over the entire length of the gutter profile elements ( 1 ). 3. Plastic gutter according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that a drain adapter ( 14 ) for connecting a drain pipe can be connected, preferably detachably, to the gutter underside ( 2 ). 4. Plastic gutter according to claim 3, characterized in that the drain adapter ( 14 ) is a pipe section ( 20 ) with a connecting piece ( 15 ) attached thereto, wherein the connecting piece ( 15 ) takes up the outer contour of the gutter underside ( 2 ) and can be screwed, preferably in situ, to the gutter underside ( 2 ), preferably in a sealing manner, by means of two fastening tabs ( 16 ), each of which has a screw hole ( 17 ). 5. Plastic gutter according to claim 4, characterized in that the drain adapter ( 14 ) passes from the connecting piece ( 15 ) connected to the gutter underside in the flow direction of a possibly draining liquid into a pipe connection piece ( 21 ) which is arranged concentrically within the pipe piece ( 20 ) and whose mouth cross section ( 22 ) tapers conically in the mouth direction. 6. Plastic gutter according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the connecting piece ( 15 ) and/or the pipe connection piece ( 21 ) are each provided on the connection side with a, preferably pre-assembled, sealing ring. 7. Plastic gutter according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the gutter profile elements ( 1 ) are each open at the end for connection to one another, but can be closed with a U-shaped end piece ( 13 ) if required. 8. Plastic gutter according to claim 7, characterized in that the end piece ( 13 ) is provided with a U-shaped wall part for closing the U-shaped gutter profile and this end piece ( 15 ) can be detachably connected to the front side of the respective gutter profile element ( 1 ) by means of corresponding locking elements of the gutter profile elements ( 1 ), preferably on the top and bottom sides. 9. Plastic gutter according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the frame ( 4 ) formed by the side walls ( 3 , 3 ') is provided with a locking recess ( 11 , 11 ') for receiving locking elements projecting on the outside over a gutter cover ( 23 ) to be inserted into the gutter frame ( 4 ). 10. Plastic gutter according to claim 9, characterized in that an attachment element ( 12 ) with a substantially triangular cross-section is placed in the locking recesses ( 11 ) in such a way that this attachment element ( 12 ) projects into the receiving area for a gutter cover ( 23 ) delimited on both sides by the frames ( 4 ). 11. Plastic gutter according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the plastic gutter is intended to be covered with a gutter cover ( 23 ), which is preferably made of plastic, in such a way that the gutter cover ( 23 ) is received in the frame ( 4 ), wherein the gutter cover ( 23 ) is provided with locking tabs ( 26 ) projecting on both sides on the outside, which engage in the locking recesses ( 11 ) of the frame ( 4 ) of the gutter profile elements ( 1 ). 12. Plastic gutter according to claim 13, characterized in that the gutter cover ( 23 ) essentially comprises a plastic grate ( 24 ) which is delimited by a surrounding frame element ( 25 ) which, in the region of the locking tabs ( 26 ) engaging in the locking recess ( 11 ), is provided with a receiving pocket ( 30 ) for the positive reception of the attachment elements ( 12 ) of the frames ( 4 ).
