Abstract

A hammock consists of a rectangular web (2) with tunnel side-seams (2a, 2b) for ratchet-tightened straps (1a, 1b) held apart by aluminium struts (3). The straps are positioned around two suitable trees. The hammock also serves to support a surrounding rain cover or mosquito net.

Hanging bivouac

The invention relates to a hammock according to the preamble of claim 1. The hanging bivouac is a weatherproof hammock for comfortable overnight stays outdoors, which can be set up with a mosquito net and/or a fly as required and thus protects against unpleasant environmental influences (such as mosquitoes or rain).

Hammocks used in practice and hammocks with integrated or adaptive mosquito nets and rain covers sag so much when folded down that this can have a negative effect on comfortable posture, especially when used for a longer period of time (especially when staying overnight): freedom of movement is then very limited, and lying comfortably on your side and especially on your stomach is hardly or not at all possible.

Furthermore, their mosquito nets and rain tents are anchored in the surrounding area in such a way that their tension can change unfavorably when the hammock is loaded (over-tension or loss of tension) and/or that the free hanging and swinging of the hammock can be impaired (e.g. by guy ropes anchored in the ground, etc.).

The invention therefore addresses the problem of creating a hammock which, with regard to the least possible sagging behaviour, enables a body posture which has an advantageous effect on the comfort of lying down, and which has a system for attaching a mosquito net and/or a flysheet which, contrary to the problem described above, behaves advantageously when loaded with regard to free hanging and swinging of the hammock.

Using two ratchet tensioning straps, which are placed around two trees in the form of a loop, the lying surface of the hanging bivouac is tensioned so tightly that you get an almost horizontal resting position. The comfort of a flat camp bed combined with the coziness of a hammock leads to an unprecedented relaxed lying feeling and also enables you to sleep comfortably on your side or stomach! The static structure of the lying surface provides the solid basis for a stable roof construction. At least one tent pole arch is spread between the head and foot ends of the lying surface and supports both the mosquito net and the tent roof. In order not to impair the free-floating state of the hanging bivouac, the roof and mosquito net are not tensioned in the surrounding area, but are completely independent, attached directly to the hammock itself.

Claims (8)

Hammock, consisting of a sheet ( 2 ) made of suitable material, which is threaded onto two side-mounted suspension devices, e.g. two tunnel seams ( 2a and 2b ), hangs on a ratchet tensioning belt formed into a type of loop and running around two trees, or e.g. on two ratchet tensioning belts ( 1a and 1b ) hung one after the other and running around two trees, which is stretched at the head and foot ends by a transverse spreader bar ( 3 ) made of suitable material (e.g. aluminum tubes), which defines the lying width of the hammock. 2. Hammock according to claim 1, characterized in that the spreader bars ( 3 ) function as supports for at least one tent pole arch ( 4 ) spread between them, e.g. in that each of the two spreader bars is designed in such a way that a connecting part ( 3a ) of the tube halves ( 3b and 3c ) with a suitable bore forms the receptacle for the respective end of the tent pole arch. 3. Hammock according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that each of the two spreader bars ( 3 ) has a device at its end which serves to prevent the spreader bars under pressure from slipping along the tensioning belts, e.g. by using an attachment ( 3 d) which has a slot ( 3 dI) which is at a suitable angle (A) to the spreader bar axis ( 3 ), through which the tensioning belt ( 1 a/ 1 b) now runs in a "kink-like" manner and thus jams itself at this kink due to the resulting frictional forces. 4. Hammock according to claim 1 to 3, characterized in that at least one tent pole arch ( 4 ) functions as a support for a mosquito net ( 5 ) which is suspended therefrom by a suitable suspension device, e.g. a tunnel seam ( 5a ). 5. Hammock according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the mosquito net is connected at its lower edge to the edge of the sunshade ( 2 c) by means of a suitable fastening method, e.g. a circumferential Velcro fastener ( 5 b). 6. Hammock according to claim 1 to 5, characterized in that at least one tent pole arch ( 4 ) functions as a support for an over-tent ( 6 ) made of suitable material, which is placed over the tent pole arch ( 4 ) and stretched over the spreader bars ( 3 ) or a protruding extension (3dII) of the attachments ( 3 d). 7. Hammock according to claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the flysheet ( 6 ) has devices by means of which it can be tensioned in the longitudinal direction over the spreader bars ( 3 ), e.g. by looping four flap-like ends ( 6a ) around the spreader bars ( 3 ) and fixing them to the inside of the flysheet ( 6 ), e.g. by means of Velcro fasteners ( 6b ). 8. Hammock according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the flysheet has devices by means of which it can be tensioned in the transverse direction via the extensions (3dII) of the spreader bar attachments ( 3 d), e.g. by connecting two of the four corners ( 6 c) e.g. with two tensioning straps ( 6 d).
