Die Stege 3, 3', 3",4,4' können Profilierungen zur Variierung der Steifigkeit aufweisen. Die als Gitter ausgebildete Federung 2 gibt der Rückenlehne eine hohe Steifigeit bei ausgezeichneten Federungseigenschaften. Durch einen Durchgang 13 des Hebels 11 reicht ein Zugband 13 eines Bowdenzuges 14. Der Bowdenzug 14 ist einerseits in einem Haltebock 16 und andererseits in einer Stellvorrichtung 17 gehalten. Die Stellvorrichtung 17 kann mittels eines Drehgriffs handbetätigt oder mittels eines Stellmotors angetrieben sein. Die Stellvorrichtung 17 ist normalerweise an dem Rahmen 1 festgelegt. Durch Verstellung des Zugbandes 13 wird der Hebel 11 innerhalb der Führung 7 verschoben, so daß die Lordosenplatte 8 aufgerichtet bzw. verschwenkt wird, z.B. in die strichpunktiert eingezeichnete Stellung 8'. Die Rückstellung der Lordosenplatte bei Freigabe des Bowdenzuges erfolgt durch das Gewicht der an der Rückelehne abgestützten Person und/oder durch eine nicht dargestellte Rückstellfeder.As a back support, particularly in the area of the lumbar vertebrae, a lumbar plate 8 is hinged to the web 3' by a schematically shown hinge 9.
