A device for introducing and mfg. a pref. chemically reactive mixt. of >=2 plastics components into a mould cavity, has a mixing chamber fitted with an inlet for each component and one common outlet opening out into the mould cavity. The mixing chamber is fitted with a control organ for synchronising the intermingling of the components and for locking the outlet. Between the zone of the inlets and the outlet there is a barrier or baffle transversely movable into the mixing chamber. Device is used, e.g. for mixing plastics with blowing agents. Pore structure and surface characteristics of the resulting moulding can be controlled as desired by varying the mixing pressure. The presence of the control organ also facilitates complete cleaning (sic) of the mixing chamber and to generate a pre-pressure in the mixt.
