Zur Hälfte wird das Getriebe 6 vom Verbindungsstück 2 bedeckt. Um das Getriebe 6 herum befindet sich ein aus einem Ring bestehender Schalter 7, der die Positionen "Rechtslauf des Motors", "Linkslauf des Motors" und "Aus" hat. Der Ringschalter 7 wird in einer umlaufenden Rille geführt, die je zur Hälfte im Verbindungsstück 2 und im Griffteil 1 eingeformt ist. Im Inneren des Borstenaufsatzstückes 3 befindet sich eine Welle 8, die auf der Motorseite in ein vorgesehenes Antriebsverbindungsstück 9 einrastet und auf der entgegengesetzten Seite die Borsten 10 trägt. Die Borsten 10 sind radial, d. h. rechtwinklig zur Welle 8 angeordnet und drehen sich in derselben Richtung wie die Welle 8, wodurch sowohl die Massage des Zahnfleischs als auch Säuberung der Zahnzwischenräume gewährleistet ist. Ein weiteres wichtiges Merkmal der Erfindung ist, daß die Borsten 10 durch Umschalten des Elektromotors 5 auf Rechtslauf und Linkslauf in beide Richtungen gedreht werden können. Elektrisch angetriebene Zahnbürste, bestehend aus einem Griffteil (1), einem Verbindungsstück (2) und einem auf dieses aufsteckbaren und auswechselbaren Borstenaufsatzstück (3) mit einer darin drehbar gelagerten Welle (8), welche die am Ende des Borstenaufsatzstückes (3) ebenfalls drehbar gelagerten Borsten (10) antreibt, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Borsten (10) radial auf dem Ende der Welle (8) angeordnet sind und sich dadurch in derselben Richtung drehen wie die Welle (8).1.
