Im Grunde stellt das erfindungsgemäße Glasfeld einen Blendschutz dar, wobei gleichzeitig eine Verbesserung des k- und g-Wertes erzielt wird. Dieser Blendschutz ist insbesondere für Glasdächer gedacht. Er ist einstellbar je nach Sonnenstand. Der Blendschutz hat Vorteile gegenüber den Jalousien für den senkrechten Bereich, weil er aus einem stabilen Alumaterial gefertigt wird. Weitere Vorteile sind, daß die Lamellen einstellbar sind. Somit läßt sich jeweils die gewünschte Einstellung wählen. So wird z. B. im Winter der Blendschutz bei Nacht komplett geschlossen. Dadurch entsteht eine Glasscheibe mit einem dazwischen liegenden Rohr. Somit wird die Luftfüllung in drei Segmente eingeteilt. Einmal vor dem Rohr, einmal im Rohr und einmal hinter dem Rohr. Durch den geringen Abstand zwischen der inneren Scheibe und dem Rohr sowie zwischen der äußeren Scheibe und dem Rohr ergeben sich dann zwei getrennte Luftpolster. Auch innerhalb eines Rohres ist Luft vorhanden. Es entsteht also ein Drei-Kammer-System ähnlich wie dies bei Profilen aus Kunststoff oder Aluminium vorhanden ist. Durch den geringen Abstand zwischen Glas und Rohr wird dann keine Konvektion stattfinden, sondern direkte Strahlungen vom Glas zum Rohr, von der einen Rohrwand zur anderen Rohrwand, sowie von der Außenkante des Rohres zum äußeren Glas.
