Gemäß Fig. 1 besteht eine Teil der Hinweisleuchte aus einer Scheibe 4 mit Hinweissymbolen (Pictogrammen) 1, 2, 3, die durch weißes Licht zu beleuchten sind, während die restliche Fläche der Scheibe 4 grün zu beleuchten ist. Während die grüne Beleuchtung unmittelbar durch die Verwendung von grünes Licht emittierenden Leuchtdioden hergestellt wird, ist zur Erzielung der weiß scheinenden Beleuchtung eine farbverändernde Vorrichtung zwischengesetzt, die z. B. von gelbes Licht emittierenden Leuchtdioden angestrahlt wird und das gelbe Licht in weißes Licht umsetzt. Bei dieser Ausführung ist es sinnvoll, die Symbole durch Rahmen 5, 6, 7, gegenüber der ansonsten grün zu beleuchtenden Scheibe 4 lichtdicht abzuschotten. Alle Leuchtdioden sind in Fig. 1 als kleine Kreise eingezeichnet und beispielhaft mit der Positionsziffer 8 gekennzeichnet. Um eine Streuung zu erzielen, können die Leuchtdioden z. B. in die Scheibe 4 aus transluzentem Werkstoff z. B. Gießharz oder Silikon eingegossen sein. Ebenso können mehrere Teile hintereinander verwendet werden z. B. die Scheibe 4 mit Hinweissymbolen aus pyramidenförmigen Oberflächenstrukturen und einem dahinterliegenden Trägerelement (z. B.
