Die Herstellung dieses neuartigen Filtermaterials kann in dem Melt-Blown-Prozeß durch Verwendung von glatten oder vorgekreppten Papierbahnen, die mehrlagig, vorzugsweise einlagig, in einem Gewichtsbereich von 8 bis 50 g/m², vorzugsweise 15 bis 30 g/m² liegen, dergestalt erfolgen, daß das aufgeblasene, geschmolzene Celluloseacetat einen Acetylierungsgrad von 1 bis 3, vorzugsweise 1,7 bis 2,6 hat.
