Bei Wechselstromzählern nach dem Ferrarisschen Prinzip hat man zur Erzielung der Phasenverschiebung verstellbare Metallplatten angeordnet, welche einen Teil der Kraftlinien auffangen oder ablenken sollen. Eine besonders wirksame Form erhält man durch die Anordnung zweier gegeneinander verstellbarer Platten mit entsprechenden Durchlochungen.
