Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Vliesstoffen, die siegelfähige Fasern enthalten Vliesstoffe werden vorzugsweise nach folgendem Verfahren hergestellte Ein auf einer Krempelanlage oder nach dem aerodynamischen Prinzip hergestelltes Faservlies wird mit einer Lösung oder einer Dispersion eines Bindemittels, z.B. von Naturkautschuk, synthetischem Kautschuk oder einem Kunstharz, durch Tränken zwischen Drahtnetzen, durch Schaumimprägnierung oder durch Besprühen verfestigt. Ein anderes gebräuchliches Verfahren besteht darin, daß man ein Faservlies, das ganz oder teilweise aus thermoplastischen Fasern aufgebaut ist, durch Heißverpressen bei Temperaturen@bei denen die thermoplastischen Fasern klebend werden, z.B. zwischen den beheizten walzen eines Kalanders verfestigt. Dieses Verfahren ist einfacher und wirtschaftlicher als die Verfestigung mit Hilfe einer Lösung oder Dispersion einen Bindemittelel e® hat jedoch den Nachteil, daß die hierbei erhaltenen hliesetoffe,, infolge den wegen der geringen Wärmeleitfähigkeit der Bauern erforder- liehen hohen Anpressdruckes,, einen unerwünschten papierigen triff bekommen. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man eine überraschend gute Verfestigung eines solchen Faservlieses unter Erhaltung des textilen Griffes erzielen kann, wenn man durch das Faservlies Luft hindurehsaugt oder durchbläst, die auf eine solche Temperatur erhitzt ist, daß die thermoplastischen Fasern dabei siegelfähig werden. Dies kann man beispielsweise in der Weise durchführen, daß man das Faservlies über eine Art Siebtrommeltrookner leitet und dabei die erhitzte Luft entweder von außen her durch das Vlies durchsaugt oder von der Innenseite her durch das Vlies hindurchbläst. :Die Siäjbtrommel wird dabei mit einem engmaschigen Drahtnetzgewebe abgedeckt und das Vlies wird mit einem Drahtnetzgewebe an die Trommel angepresst. Bei einer kräftigen Ansaugung durch Erzeugung eines Unterdruckes im Innern der Trommel* kann das äußere Drahtnetzgewebe in Wegfall kommen. Als besonders zweckmäßig hat es sich erwiesen, zwischen Faservliese aus nicht-thermoplastischen Fasern solche aus thermoplastischen Pasern,-bzw. Miechfaservliese, die thermoplastische gaeern enthalten, einzulegen. Weiter ist es vorteilhaft, diese fasernsohioht durch einen Nadelprozeß vor der "Versiegelung" zu verfestigen. Die Abb. 1 zeigt den Aufbau eines solchen Faser-Tlieaee. Das Nadeln kann ein- oder beidseitig erfolgen. Bei Verwendung einer Trommel wird die Luft im allgemeinen nur von einer Seite durch das Faservlies geleitet (siehe Pig.2) - es sei denn, daß man die Trommel in Sektoren teilt, in denen die Luftführung einmal von innen nach außen und dann in umgekehrte Richtung vorgenommen wird. Bei Verwendung von zwei Trommeln wird die Luft bei der 1. Trommel von der einen Seite, bei der 2. Trommel von der anderen Seite durch das Vlies geleitet. (Siehe Fig.3) Die Luft wird umgewälzt, d.h. diese wird nach dem Durchgang durch das Vlies wieder, z.B. über mit Dampf oder elektrisch beheizte Wärmeaustauscher geleitet und auf die erforderliche Siegeltemperatur gebracht. Ddr Wärmeverbrauch wird durch diese Umwälzung niedrig gehalten. Dadurch daß die Löcher der Trommeln gegeneinander versetzt sind, erreicht man eine gleichmäßige Verfestigung des Vliese. Während bei dem Kalanderprozeß, die für die Siegelung erforderliche Wärme durch Kontakt mit den beheizten Walzen übertragen wird, was einen hohen Anpreƒdruck notwendig macht, erfolgt nach dem Verfahren gemäß der Erfindung der Wärmeübertragung durch , einen.beheizten Luftstrom. Anstelle des luftetromes kann auch überhitzter Wasserdampf treten. Dadurch daß die Siegelung unter einen wesentlich geringeren Druck, als beim galanderverfahren erfolgt, bleibt der textile Griff der Ware erhalten. Als thermoplastische Fasern kommen beispielsweise solche aus Polyvinylchlorid oder aus einem Mischpolymerisat aus Vinylchlorid und Vinylacetat oder aus Polyvinylidenchlorid oder aus einem Copolymeren aus 80 Teilen Glykolterephtalatester und 20 Teilen Glykolisophthalaester oder aus Polyolefinen in Frage.Sealing by sucking through or blowing through a stream of air heated to the sealing temperature can be carried out using one or more sieve drums.
