Description

Method for the continuous application of an insulating jacket Pipes The invention is based on a method for continuous application an insulating jacket on pipes, in which the pipes move forward in the axial direction will.

In the known method just mentioned, a material is used which is suitable in this process, which has become known as the winding process is, namely a corresponding tape-like material, e.g. B. made of thermoplastic.

However, if the good insulating properties of mineral wool, in particular Glass wool, are to be used, so this known method cannot do this be used. Glass wool becomes longer, thicker, relatively stiffer Mats produced which are not suitable for being wound onto tubes in a helical manner to become.

The object of the invention is therefore to provide the method in paragraph 1 of this description mentioned type to the extent that it is rational Way succeeds in the good insulating properties of mineral wool, especially of Glass wool to be used for insulation.

To solve this problem, the combination of the following features is provided: a) In a manner known per se, the insulating jacket is in the form of long insulating mats, which are made of mineral wool, in particular glass wool, in a manner known per se, applied to the pipe.

b) Rohr- und Isoliermatten werden in an sich bekannter Weise in Längsrichtung durch eine trichterförmige Matrize geleitet, die in an sich bekannter Weise das Isoliermaterial zusammendrückt und um das Rohr herumlegt.b) Pipe and insulating mats are in a known manner in the longitudinal direction passed through a funnel-shaped die, which in a known manner the Compress the insulating material and place it around the pipe.

c) Die Isoliermatten werden beim Austritt aus der Matrize in an sich bekannter Weise mit einem bandförmigen Material umwickelt und festgelegt.c) The insulating mats are in per se when they exit the die wrapped in a known manner with a band-shaped material and set.

The invention achieves a technical advance, as it becomes possible with the method according to the invention, the good insulating properties of mineral wool, especially of glass wool, and insulation with to achieve these insulating materials also in an economically advantageous manner.
