Abstract

Un método para hacer una estructura antimicrobial que comprende los pasos de:(1) preparar una solución o suspensión que contenga material de quitosana en donde la cantidad de material de quitosana es de 0.0005 a 2.5 gramos por metro cuadrado sobre una base de sólidos;(2) recubrir una superficie hidrofóbica de un sustrato sólido con dicha solución o suspensión de material de quitosana es de 0.0005 a 2.5 gramos por metro cuadrado sobre una base de sólidos;(3) secar el sustrato recubierto; y(4) opcionalmente tratar posteriormente la estructura secada para insolubilizar el material de quitosana.Una estructura antimicrobial que comprende un sustrato sólido que tiene una superficie hidrofóbica, dicha superficie hidrofóbica tiene un recubrimiento de un material de quitosana en una cantidad de 0.0005 a 2.5 gramos por metro cuadrado.
