Abstract

El vidriado de vehículos, que una vez sirvió solo para proporcionar visión y protegerse de elementos, ha ido asumiendo nuevas funciones a medida que la complejidad y la funcionalidad de los automóviles modernos han evolucionado. Las películas de rendimiento y las capas intermedias se utilizan a menudo para agregar y mejorar la funcionalidad de los laminados. Estas funciones incluyen control solar, atenuación del sonido, pantalla HUD (Head-up, por sus siglas en ingles) y transmisión de luz variable. Los recientes avances han permitido producir circuitos electrónicos en sustratos finos y transparentes que son esencialmente invisibles bajo condiciones normales de iluminación. Si bien estos circuitos pueden insertarse en el laminado y laminarse con éxito, los bordes del inserto del circuito son propensos a una estética objetable debido a la falta de correspondencia entre el sustrato y el índice de refracción, el grosor y el color de la capa intermedia. La presente invención compensa el borde del inserto sólido proporcionando una lámina de un material compatible que compensa, en el que se inserta el sustrato y que se extiende hasta al menos la banda negra o hasta el borde del vidrio del laminado, haciendo que el borde del inserto sea esencialmente invisible.
