Abstract

The invention relates to a shaker comprising a reservoir (12) which is used to receive a product which is to be distributed, and a shaker opening (3) which is used to distribute the product which is to be distributed. The shaker opening (3) is defined by an at least partially surrounding shaker edge (30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35) and is covered by a distribution aid (4). The shaker opening (3) is non-circular in shape and has a contour provided with at least one first area, which forms a longitudinal shaker edge (30, 31, 32), and at least one second area, which forms a short shaker edge (33, 34, 35). The inventive shaker is economical to produce and enables, not only a specific dosing but also as a generous distribution of the goods which are to be distributed.

The invention relates to a shaker according to the preamble of claim 1 . In particular, the present invention relates to baking shakers for use in the domestic field for sprinkling flour or other bulk powder-sprayed items.

Background technique

Such shakers are already known. They are used for storage and sprinkling of powdered condiments. These shakers are usually configured in the shape of a cylinder. In one known embodiment, the entire circular opening is used as a spray opening.

In other embodiments, the opening is covered by a distribution aid, for example in the form of a perforated plate. In yet another embodiment, a disk is mounted on the cylinder opening of the shaker, which disk has a substantially closed configuration and allows freedom of the spray opening only in the edge region. The cylinder opening can have a triangular configuration, only one of the sides can be used as a spray edge. The cylinder opening can be completely closed by a rotatable cover. Here the cover has a first opening area which has approximately the same size as the spray opening, and its side which is equal to the spray edge has a beveled configuration for easier dosing. It also has a second open area comprising a plurality of small circular openings. By turning the cap, it is possible to choose whether a large amount of condiment is sprayed through the large opening or a more specific dose is sprayed through the smaller opening.

Although these shakers are suitable for condiments, due to their limited internal diameter, they are not suitable for spraying larger quantities of powder spray items. Furthermore, they have the disadvantage that they include multiple moving parts, which increases manufacturing costs.

Contents of the invention

It is thus an object of the present invention to provide a shaker which is particularly suitable for spraying flour or other bulky powder sprays which is inexpensive to manufacture and which still allows the spraying to be sprayed in as specific and high doses as possible.

This object is achieved by a shaker having the features of claim 1 of the patent.

The shaker according to the invention has a container for receiving a spray product and a spray opening for spraying the spray product, which is delimited by an at least partially circumferential spray rim and covered by the dispensing means. According to the invention, the spray opening has a non-circular configuration and its contour has at least one first region forming a long spray edge and at least one second region forming a short spray edge. A suitable rotation of the shaker allows bringing the spray opening to the appropriate position respectively required for spraying.

Preferably, the spray opening has a triangular configuration, at least two of its sides, preferably all three sides and corner regions serving as spray edges.

Manufacturing costs can then be minimized if the dispensing means are constructed equally over the entire area of the spray opening and are fixedly connected to the latter. However, it is also possible to arrange the dispensing means such that it is positionally fixed relative to the spray opening, while providing it with differently shaped regions, or to arrange the dispensing means to be detachable.

Detailed ways

In Figures 1 and 2, a preferred embodiment of a shaker according to the invention is shown. It has a shaker bottom 1 and a shaker top 2 . The shaker top 2 has a spray opening 3 which is covered by a dispensing means 4 . The spray opening 3 can be closed by a cover 5 which can slide over it.

The shaker bottom 1 has a cylindrical configuration with a triangular base, the sides of which are preferably curved outwards and the corners of which have a rounded configuration. The base 10 at the bottom of the shaker is configured so that the shaker can stand upright independently. Its cavity forms a container 12 for spraying items, for example for spraying food products - eg flour, peanuts or spices. To ensure that the shaker sits in the hand in a slip-resistant manner, its housing 11 is preferably provided with ribs 15 . The housing 11 has an inwardly directed step 16 in the upper region, as shown in FIG. 3 . The latching opening 13 is recessed in a conical region near the housing 11 . The upper end face 14 of the housing 11 is of flat configuration.

The shaker top 2 and cover 5 likewise have a triangular basic shape with outwardly curved sides and rounded corners. In particular, this can be seen in FIGS. 6 and 7 .

The shaker top 2 can be placed according to FIG. 2 into the shaker bottom 1 , on which it abuts with its lower end face 20 against the step 16 and engages with the latch projection 21 in the latch opening 13 . To fill the container 12, the shaker top 2 is removed. The cover 5 wraps around the shaker top 2 and rests against the upper end face 14 of the shaker bottom 1 .

The shaker top 2, shaker bottom 1 and cover 5 are preferably made of plastic or metal.

A grid, for example made of metal, is provided as distribution means 4 . The dispensing means is preferably held in a positionally fixed manner in the shaker top 2 and is preferably flat. One possible setup is shown in FIG. 4 . In this embodiment a grid 4 is incorporated into the plastic top 2 . In this case, the shaker top 2 protrudes beyond the grid 4 by a rounded edge 22 .

In another embodiment (not shown here), the dispensing device 4 is detachably connected to the shaker. In this case, the shaker can be constructed in one piece, since the spray product can be poured into the container 12 by removing the dispensing means.

According to the invention, the spray opening 3 has a non-circular configuration and its profile has at least one first region forming a long spray edge and at least one second region forming a short spray edge. As can be seen in Figures 5 and 6, the spray openings are preferably of triangular configuration. The sides of the triangle can, but need not, be configured to be of equal length. In the exemplary embodiment shown here, the triangle is equilateral, ie the three sides 30 , 31 , 32 are of equal length. The three corners 33, 34, 35 of the spray opening 3 preferably have a rounded configuration, in which case they can have the same or different radii of curvature. In this embodiment, the sides 30, 31, 32 thus form a long spray edge, while the corners 33, 34, 35 form a short spray edge. Here, the overall contour of the spray opening 3 forms a spray edge.

It is also possible to use only a subregion or several subregions of the profile length as spray edges. It is also possible to configure the spray openings in other non-circular shapes. For example, short and long spray edges can be formed by long or short straight edges. Similarly, it is possible, for example, to configure the profile of the spray opening in the shape of a rosette with different sizes of radii of curvature.

The aforementioned edge 22 surrounds the entire spray opening 3 and has approximately the same shape as the spray opening 3 in appearance. To facilitate spraying, it is configured such that it is curved over at least a part of the length of the profile of the spray opening, preferably over its entire length.

Also, as can be seen in the figures, the distribution means 4 are preferably uniform over the entire area of the spray openings 3, ie the grid has equally sized distribution openings over the entire area. However, it is also possible to use a dispensing device divided into individual regions, wherein the individual regions differ in terms of size, shape and/or number of dispensing openings.

The shaker according to the invention is inexpensive to manufacture and still allows the spraying of the sprayed product to be sprayed in as specific and high doses as possible.

Claims (10)

1. A shaker having a container (12) for receiving a spray product and a spray opening (3) for spraying the spray product, the spray opening (3) being defined by at least partially circumferential spray edges (30, 31 , 32, 33, 34, 35) and covered by the distribution device (4), characterized in that the spray opening (3) has a non-circular configuration and its profile has at least one forming a long spray edge (30 , 31, 32) and has at least one second area forming a short spray edge (33, 34, 35). 2. The shaker as claimed in claim 1, wherein the spray opening (3) is of triangular configuration. 3. The shaker according to any one of claims 1 to 2, wherein the spray opening (3) has corners (33, 34, 35) of rounded configuration. 4. The shaker according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the spray opening (3) is surrounded by an outer edge (22) which in appearance has substantially the same shape as the spray opening (3) . 5. The shaker as claimed in claim 4, wherein the outer edge (22) is curved towards the spray opening (3) at least over a sub-area. 6. The shaker according to any one of claims 1 to 5, wherein the distribution means (4) is uniform over the entire area of the spray opening (3). 7. The shaker according to any one of claims 1 to 6, wherein the distribution means (4) is a grid. 8. The shaker according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the dispensing means (4) is arranged such that it is positionally fixed relative to the spray opening (3), is flat, and Cover the entire spray opening (3). 9.
