Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of panels made of fibers and wood chips, a corresponding device and panels produced by this method. In particular the invention relates to MDF boards, HDF boards or particle boards. The object of the present invention is to provide a board with a lower glue content than the prior art. The board is obtained by: providing fibers or chips; drying the fibers or chips in a drying device; forming the dried fibers or chips into a sheet or web, and sending the sheet or web to to several nozzles in a mixer; by means of which the glue and fibers or wood chips are cooled and passed through said nozzles, at a temperature below 100°C, the glue is applied to the surface being formed in a thin layer or a web of dry fibers or chips, wherein the thin layer or web covers the entire width inside the mixer; the glued fibers or chips are pressed into boards under heated conditions.
