Detailed Description
To make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present application more clear, embodiments of the present application will be described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
With the development of the optoelectronic technology, lasers are widely used as light sources in projection devices. In addition, since the laser emitted by the existing laser includes two types of laser with vertical polarization directions, a half-wave plate needs to be arranged in the light emitting direction of the laser in the projection device to modulate the polarization directions of the two types of laser into the same direction. Therefore, the existing projection equipment has more structures, the volume of the projection equipment is larger, and the miniaturization of the projection equipment is difficult to realize.
Fig. 1 is a schematic structural diagram of a laser provided in the related art. As shown in fig. 1, the laser 10 includes a base plate 101, and a plurality of light emitting chips 102 and a plurality of reflection prisms 103 mounted on the base plate 101 in a one-to-one correspondence. Each reflection prism 103 is located at the light emitting side of the corresponding light emitting chip 102, the light emitting chip 102 is used for emitting laser to the corresponding reflection prism 103, and the reflection prism 103 is used for emitting the laser to the direction far away from the bottom plate 101, so as to realize the light emitting of the laser 10. The laser 10 shown in fig. 1 includes 20 light emitting chips 102, and the 20 light emitting chips 102 are arranged in four rows and five columns, and the 20 light emitting chips 102 all emit light in the y1 direction. The x1 direction in fig. 1 may be a row direction of the light emitting chips, the y1 direction may be a column direction of the light emitting chips, and the x1 direction is perpendicular to the y1 direction.
The plurality of light-emitting chips 102 in the laser 10 may include a red light-emitting chip for emitting red laser light, a green light-emitting chip for emitting green laser light, and a blue light-emitting chip for emitting blue laser light. The red laser is P polarized light, the blue laser and the green laser are S polarized light, and the polarization directions of the P polarized light and the S polarized light are vertical. When P-polarized light penetrates the surface of the optical element at a non-perpendicular angle, the polarization vector of the P-polarized light is in a plane including the incident light and the reflected light; when S-polarized light penetrates the surface of the optical element at a non-perpendicular angle, the polarization vector of the S-polarized light perpendicularly includes the plane of the incident light and the plane of the reflected light.
Fig. 2 is a schematic propagation diagram of P-polarized light provided in an embodiment of the present application. When P-polarized light passes through the plane a shown in fig. 2, the polarization direction of the P-polarized light may be the direction P shown in fig. 2, and the waveform in fig. 2 refers to the waveform of the light wave of the P-polarized light.
Fig. 3 is a schematic propagation diagram of S-polarized light provided in an embodiment of the present application. When S-polarized light passes through the plane a shown in fig. 3, the polarization direction of the S-polarized light may be the direction S shown in fig. 3, and the waveform in fig. 3 refers to the waveform of the light wave of the S-polarized light. The direction p in plane a is perpendicular to the direction s.
As can be seen from fig. 1, 2 and 3, in the laser 10 shown in fig. 1, after the red laser light is reflected by the reflecting prism and then exits the laser 10, the polarization direction of the red laser light is parallel to the y1 direction; after the blue laser light and the green laser light are reflected by the reflecting prism and then exit the laser 10, the polarization directions of the blue laser light and the green laser light are parallel to the x1 direction. Therefore, the polarization direction of the red laser light in the laser light finally emitted by the laser 10 shown in fig. 1 is still perpendicular to the polarization directions of the blue laser light and the green laser light.
Fig. 4 is a schematic partial structural diagram of a projection apparatus provided in the related art. As shown in fig. 4, the projection apparatus may include a laser 10 and a half-wave plate B disposed corresponding to a portion of laser light emitted from the laser 10, e.g., disposed in a transmission direction of the portion of laser light. The portion of the laser light includes blue laser light and green laser light. The laser 10 shown in fig. 4 may be a schematic view of the laser 10 shown in fig. 1 after being flipped 180 degrees from the left side view. The half-wave plate can be used for rotating the polarization direction of the laser, so that the polarization direction of the blue laser and the green laser is changed to be the same as that of the red laser after the blue laser and the green laser penetrate through the half-wave plate, and the projection equipment can project by adopting the red laser, the blue laser and the green laser with the same polarization direction.
Since the thickness of the half-wave plate is related to the wavelength of the laser light transmitted by the half-wave plate, the half-wave plate with the corresponding thickness needs to be designed according to the wavelengths of the blue laser light and the green laser light emitted by the laser in the related art. And the half-wave plate is obtained by crystal growth, and the cost of the half-wave plate is higher. The half-wave plate is fixed by a support, the fixing difficulty of the half-wave plate is high, and the half-wave plate needs to occupy more space in the projection equipment. Therefore, the projection device in the related art has high cost and large volume.
As shown in fig. 4, the projection apparatus may further include a light combining mirror J for combining the red, green and blue laser beams emitted from the laser 10 into a laser beam and directing the laser beam in a desired direction, such as a converging lens G shown in fig. 4. The light-combining mirror J may include a reflecting prism J1, a dichroic mirror J2, and a dichroic mirror J3. Note that the dichroic mirror can transmit light in one wavelength range almost completely, and reflect light in another wavelength range almost completely. As shown in fig. 4, the four laser beams emitted by the laser 10 are green laser beam, blue laser beam, red laser beam and red laser beam in sequence along the y1 direction, and the dichroic mirror J2 can completely transmit the green laser beam and completely reflect the blue laser beam; the dichroic mirror J3 can completely transmit the green laser light and the blue laser light, and completely reflect the red laser light. After the light combining lens J emits the laser light emitted by the laser 10 to the converging lens G, the converging lens G can converge the laser light to the light receiving element H, and the light receiving element H can transmit the received laser light to the lens of the projection device for projection.
As can be seen from the above description, in the related art, a laser is used as a light source of a projection device, and a half-wave plate needs to be disposed on a light emitting side of the laser, so that the projection device has a large volume and a high cost. The following embodiments of the present application provide a laser, which is used as a light source of a projection device, so that the volume of the projection device can be reduced, the cost of the projection device can be reduced, and the projection device can be miniaturized conveniently.
Fig. 5 is a schematic structural diagram of a laser provided in an embodiment of the present application, fig. 6 is a schematic structural diagram of another laser provided in an embodiment of the present application, and fig. 5 may be a top view of the laser shown in fig. 6. As shown in fig. 5 and 6, the laser 20 includes a base plate 201, and a reflection prism 203 and a plurality of light emitting chips (e.g., a first polarity light emitting chip 202a or a second polarity light emitting chip 202 b) attached to the base plate 201. The reflection prism 203 is located at the light emitting side of the corresponding light emitting chip, the light emitting chip is used for emitting laser to the corresponding reflection prism 203, and the reflection prism 203 is used for emitting the laser to the direction far away from the bottom plate 201, so that the light emitting of the laser 20 is realized. As shown in fig. 6, a surface M of the reflection prism 203 near the light emitting chip may be a reflection surface for emitting the laser light in a direction away from the base plate 201.
The plurality of light emitting chips may include: a first polarity light emitting chip 202a and a second polarity light emitting chip 202 b. The first polarity light emitting chip 202a is perpendicular to the polarization direction of the laser light emitted from the second polarity light emitting chip 202b, that is, the polarization direction of the laser light emitted from the first polarity light emitting chip 202a to the corresponding reflection prism 203 is perpendicular to the polarization direction of the laser light emitted from the second polarity light emitting chip 202a to the corresponding reflection prism 203. The arrangement direction of the first polarity light emitting chips 202a is perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the second polarity light emitting chips 202b, so that the transmission direction of the laser light emitted by the first polarity light emitting chips 202a is perpendicular to the transmission direction of the laser light emitted by the second polarity light emitting chips 202b, and finally, the light emitting direction of the first polarity light emitting chips 202a is perpendicular to the light emitting direction of the second polarity light emitting chips 202 b.
And the laser is a three-color laser, wherein the second polarity light-emitting chip is used for emitting laser of two colors, and the color of the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip is different from that of the laser emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip.
The first polarity light-emitting chips are provided with two groups and are oppositely arranged, the second polarity light-emitting chips comprise two oppositely arranged light-emitting chips with two colors, and the light-emitting chips with the same color are respectively in one group.
In this embodiment, the light emitting direction of each light emitting chip is the same as the arrangement direction of the reflective prisms 203 corresponding to the light emitting chip. Illustratively, the arrangement direction of the first polarity light-emitting chips 202a and the corresponding reflection prisms 203 is a first direction, and the arrangement direction of the second polarity light-emitting chips 202b and the corresponding reflection prisms 203 is a second direction, and the first direction is perpendicular to the second direction. If the first direction is parallel to the direction x2 shown in fig. 5 or fig. 6, and the second direction is parallel to the direction y2 shown in fig. 5 or fig. 6, wherein the two-dimensional plane formed by x2 and y2 is parallel to the plane of the bottom plate.
Note that the polarization direction of the laser light is perpendicular to the transmission direction. In the embodiment of the present application, the first polarity light emitting chip and the second polarity light emitting chip both emit light along a direction parallel to the bottom plate, and a transmission direction of the laser light emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the second polarity light emitting chip is perpendicular. Therefore, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by one of the first and second light emitting chips is parallel to the bottom plate, and the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the other light emitting chip is perpendicular to the bottom plate. Assuming that the transmission direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip is parallel to the bottom plate, the polarization direction is perpendicular to the bottom plate, and the transmission direction and the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip are both parallel to the bottom plate; therefore, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip is parallel to the transmission direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip.
For laser light directed towards the reflecting surface M of the reflecting prism, the reflecting surface M is at an angle, typically 45 °, to the plane of the base plate. If the polarization direction of the laser is parallel to the reflection surface M, that is, the polarization direction is in a plane parallel to the bottom plate, the polarization direction is a linear direction, and is parallel to the plane where the reflection surface M is located, the polarization direction of the laser does not change after the laser is reflected by the reflection surface M; if the polarization direction of the laser is intersected with the reflection surface M, that is, the polarization direction is perpendicular to the plane where the base plate is located, and is equivalent to the perpendicular direction of the plane where the base plate is located, so that an included angle is formed between the polarization direction of the laser and the reflection surface M, after the laser is reflected by the reflection surface M, the polarization direction of the laser can be changed, and the changed angle of the polarization direction can be the same as the included angle between the incident light and the reflected light. If the laser light emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip and the laser light emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip are changed from the transmission direction parallel to the bottom plate to the transmission direction far away from the bottom plate, the included angle between the incident light and the reflected light of the laser light can be 90 degrees. The polarization direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip is intersected with the reflecting surface to which the laser irradiates, and then the polarization direction of the laser changes by 90 degrees and becomes parallel to the bottom plate and the original transmission direction of the laser is the same. The polarization direction of the laser emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip is parallel to the reflecting surface to which the laser irradiates, so that the polarization direction of the laser is unchanged and is still the same as the original transmission direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip. Therefore, the laser emitted by the first polarity light-emitting chip and the laser emitted by the second polarity light-emitting chip emit laser beams in the same polarization direction after being emitted in the direction away from the bottom plate.
For example, in the embodiment of the present application, the laser light emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip 202a may be P-polarized light, and the laser light emitted by the second polarity light emitting chip 202b is S-polarized light, and the P-polarized light is perpendicular to the transmission direction of the S-polarized light. Fig. 7 is a schematic propagation diagram of laser light emitted by a first-polarity light-emitting chip according to an embodiment of the present application, fig. 7 may be a schematic diagram of a section a-a' in the laser shown in fig. 5, and a waveform shown in fig. 7 is used to illustrate a waveform of a light wave of the laser light emitted by the first-polarity light-emitting chip. As shown in fig. 7, after the first-polarity light-emitting chip 202a emits the laser light, the laser light propagates toward the corresponding reflection prism 203, the transmission direction of the laser light is parallel to the direction x2, and the polarization direction of the laser light is perpendicular to the bottom plate 201, i.e., perpendicular to the x2 direction and the y2 direction in fig. 5 or fig. 6. Since the polarization direction of the laser light emitted from the first-polarity light-emitting chip 202a intersects with the reflection surface M of the corresponding reflection prism 203, the polarization direction of the laser light changes and becomes parallel to the x2 direction after the laser light is reflected on the reflection surface M of the reflection prism 203 and propagates in a direction away from the base plate 201.
Fig. 8 is a schematic propagation diagram of laser light emitted from a second polarity light-emitting chip according to an embodiment of the present disclosure, and fig. 8 may be a schematic diagram of a section b-b' in the laser shown in fig. 5. As shown in fig. 8, after the second led chip 202a emits laser light, the laser light propagates toward the corresponding reflecting prism 203, the transmission direction of the laser light is parallel to the direction y2, the polarization direction of the laser light is parallel to the bottom plate 201 and perpendicular to the transmission direction y2 of the laser light, and the polarization direction of the laser light is perpendicular to the paper surface. Note that the direction perpendicular to the paper in fig. 8 is the x2 direction in fig. 5, 6, and 7, and therefore the polarization direction of the laser light is parallel to the x2 direction. Since the polarization direction of the laser light is parallel to the reflection surface M of the reflection prism 203, after the laser light is reflected on the reflection surface M of the reflection prism 203 and propagates in a direction away from the base plate 201, the polarization direction of the laser light after reflection is unchanged, and the polarization direction is still parallel to the x2 direction. Therefore, in the embodiment of the present invention, the laser light emitted from the first polarity light emitting chip 202a and the laser light emitted from the second polarity light emitting chip 202b have the same polarization direction after exiting the laser, and the polarization directions are all parallel to the x2 direction, so that the laser 20 can emit the laser light having the same polarization direction.
It should be noted that, in the embodiment of the present application, the laser 20 includes 16 light emitting chips for example, optionally, the number of the light emitting chips in the laser 20 may also be 20, 12, or another number, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited.
To sum up, in the laser provided in the embodiment of the present application, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the second polarity light emitting chip are perpendicular, and the transmission direction of the laser emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the transmission direction of the laser emitted by the second polarity light emitting chip are perpendicular. Because the polarization direction of the laser is perpendicular to the transmission direction, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by one of the first and second polarity light-emitting chips is parallel to the bottom plate, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the other light-emitting chip is perpendicular to the bottom plate, and the polarization direction of the laser emitted by one of the light-emitting chips is the same as the propagation direction of the laser emitted by the other light-emitting chip. The reflecting prism only changes the polarization direction of the laser light emitted by the light emitting chip with the polarization direction vertical to the bottom plate into the direction same as the original transmission direction of the laser light, but does not change the polarization direction of the laser light emitted by the light emitting chip with the polarization direction parallel to the bottom plate, and the polarization direction is changed into the direction vertical to the original polarization direction, so that the polarization directions of the laser light emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the second polarity light emitting chip are consistent after the laser light emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the second polarity light emitting chip is reflected by the reflecting prism. Therefore, the three-color laser with the consistent polarization direction can be directly obtained by using the laser as the light source of the projection equipment, and the projection equipment does not need to be provided with a half-wave plate to convert the polarization direction of the light beam with one polarization direction, so that the light path and the structure of the projection equipment can be simplified, and the miniaturization of the projection equipment is facilitated.
As shown in fig. 6, 7 or 8, the laser 20 may further include at least one heat sink 204, each heat sink corresponding to at least one light emitting chip, and the light emitting chip may be attached to the base plate 201 through the corresponding heat sink 204. Optionally, the heat conductivity coefficient of the heat sink in the embodiment of the present application may be relatively large, and then the heat may be rapidly conducted out when the light emitting chip generates heat during light emitting, so as to avoid damage of the heat to the light emitting chip. Materials such as heat sinks may include one or more of aluminum nitride and silicon carbide.
Optionally, the material of the base plate may include one or more of oxygen-free copper and kovar. When the material of the bottom plate comprises oxygen-free copper, the bottom plate can assist the heat sink to conduct heat generated by the light-emitting chip at the moment because the thermal conductivity coefficient of the oxygen-free copper is also larger. Optionally, the thickness of the base plate may range from 1 mm to 3 mm.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 6, 7 or 8, the light emitting chip is close to one end of the corresponding reflection prism, and protrudes from one end of the heat sink close to the reflection prism. Alternatively, the length of the light emitting chip protruding from the heat sink in a direction in which the light emitting chip approaches the corresponding reflection prism may be less than 15 micrometers. It should be noted that, because the laser emitted by the light emitting chip has a divergence angle, the light emitting chip protrudes out of the heat sink, so that the distance between the light emitting chip and the reflection prism is further short, and thus it is ensured that more light emitted by the light emitting chip is emitted to the reflection prism, and laser waste caused by the emission of the laser emitted by the light emitting chip to the bottom plate is avoided, so that the brightness of the laser emitted by the laser device can be high.
Optionally, there may also be a portion of the light emitting chips in the laser, where one end of each light emitting chip close to the corresponding reflection prism is flush with one end of the heat sink close to the reflection prism, or one end of each light emitting chip in the laser, where the one end of each light emitting chip close to the reflection prism is flush with one end of the heat sink close to the reflection prism, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. When the one end that the chip of giving out light is close to reflection prism all with the heat sink when being close to reflection prism's one end parallel and level, the area of contact of the chip of giving out light and heat sink is great, and then has increased the regional area that is supported by the heat sink in the chip of giving out light, has improved the steadiness that sets up of the chip of giving out light. In addition, the heat generated in each area of the light-emitting chip can be directly conducted through the heat sink, so that the heat dissipation effect of the light-emitting chip is improved.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 5 to 8, the reflection prism 203 is located at a middle region of the base plate 201, and the light emitting chip is located at an edge region of the base plate 201, the edge region surrounding the middle region. Therefore, the distance between the reflecting prisms in the laser is short, and the laser emitted by each light-emitting chip is finally emitted out of the laser through the reflecting prisms, so that the reflecting prisms are positioned in the middle area of the bottom plate to ensure that the laser emitted by each light-emitting chip is short when being emitted out of the laser; and then can guarantee that the light beam of the laser that the laser instrument jetted out is thinner, and the facula that forms is less, and the luminance difference of each position in the facula is less, guarantees that the luminance of facula is comparatively even.
In each of fig. 5 to 8, the region surrounded by the reflection prism is not provided with another member. At this time, as the number of the light emitting chips in the laser is larger, the area of the region surrounded by the reflecting prism is larger, the light spot formed by the laser is larger, and the brightness difference between the middle position of the light spot and other positions is larger, the number of the light emitting chips in the embodiment of the present application may be smaller, for example, smaller than or equal to a certain number threshold. Such as 20 or 16 or other number. For example, the power of the laser in the embodiment of the present application may be small, and the laser may be used for a light source of a micro projection device.
Optionally, a plurality of light emitting chips may be further disposed in the area surrounded by the reflecting prism, so that the brightness difference between the middle position of the light spot formed by the laser and other positions can be reduced; and more light emitting chips can be arranged in the laser with the same volume, so that the waste of the volume of the laser can be avoided, the miniaturization of the laser is further facilitated, and the embodiment of the application is not limited. Optionally, in this embodiment of the application, the light emitting chip may be located in the middle area of the base plate, and the reflection prism may be located in the edge area of the base plate.
It should be noted that fig. 5 to 8 illustrate that each light emitting chip in the laser 20 corresponds to an independent reflection prism 203 and a heat sink 204. Optionally, there may also be a heat sink in the laser corresponding to at least two of the plurality of light emitting chips. The arrangement direction of the at least two light emitting chips is perpendicular to the arrangement direction of the at least two light emitting chips and the corresponding reflection prism 203, and the at least two light emitting chips are adjacent to each other.
Optionally, a reflecting prism may be present in the laser corresponding to at least two of the plurality of light emitting chips. Optionally, the at least two light emitting chips may be located on the same side of the corresponding reflection prism, and the at least two light emitting chips are adjacent to each other. Thus, the reflecting surface of the reflecting prism close to the corresponding light emitting chip can be used for reflecting the laser emitted by the at least two light emitting chips. Optionally, the at least two light emitting chips may also be located on different sides of the reflective prism. For example, the reflecting surface on each of the two sides of the reflecting prism can be used to reflect the laser emitted from the light emitting chip on the side.
Illustratively, fig. 9 is a schematic structural diagram of another laser provided in an embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 9, the laser 20 includes: four light emitting chips and corresponding reflecting prisms arranged in the x2 direction (located in the dashed box K1 in fig. 9), four light emitting chips and corresponding reflecting prisms arranged in the direction opposite to the x2 direction (located in the dashed box K2 in fig. 9), four light emitting chips and corresponding reflecting prisms arranged in the y2 direction (located in the dashed box K3 in fig. 9), and four light emitting chips and corresponding reflecting prisms arranged in the direction opposite to the y2 direction (located in the dashed box K4 in fig. 9). Fig. 9 illustrates an example in which four light emitting chips in each dashed line frame correspond to the same reflection prism 203. Optionally, in each dashed line frame, only two adjacent light emitting chips may correspond to the same reflection prism, or three adjacent light emitting chips may correspond to the same reflection prism, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
Alternatively, a plurality of light emitting chips of the laser 20 in the embodiment of the present application may all correspond to the same reflection prism 203. Illustratively, fig. 10 is a schematic structural diagram of another laser provided in the embodiment of the present application. As shown in fig. 10, the laser 20 may include only one reflecting prism 203, the reflecting prism 203 is located in a middle region of the base plate 201, a plurality of light emitting chips in the laser are located in an edge region of the base plate 201, the plurality of light emitting chips correspond to the reflecting prism 203, and the reflecting prism 203 is in a shape of a quadrangular frustum. The four side surfaces of the quadrangular frustum can be reflecting surfaces, and each reflecting surface is used for reflecting the laser emitted to the reflecting surface and emitting the laser in the direction far away from the bottom plate. Therefore, the reflecting prism in the shape of a quadrangular frustum pyramid can be directly mounted on the bottom plate 201, and the mounting process of the reflecting prism is simplified. And only set up the reflecting prism of a quadrangular frustum of a pyramid form and can make the arrangement of each luminescence chip comparatively compact, can further reduce the volume of the laser instrument. Because the area of each side of this quadrangular frustum of a prism is great, to the subsides dress of this reflection prism only need guarantee that the laser that each luminescence chip sent can the directive to the side that corresponds can, consequently, the requirement to reflection prism's dress precision is lower.
Alternatively, as shown in fig. 5, 6, 9 or 10, the plurality of light emitting chips in the laser 20 may enclose a rectangle (the rectangle is not illustrated), wherein the first polarity light emitting chip 202a may be located on one set of opposite sides of the rectangle, and the second polarity light emitting chip 202b may be located on the other set of opposite sides of the rectangle.
In the embodiment of the present application, the first polarity light emitting chip may be configured to emit laser light with a center wavelength within a first wavelength range, a part of the second polarity light emitting chip may be configured to emit laser light with a center wavelength within a second wavelength range, and another part of the second polarity light emitting chip may be configured to emit laser light with a center wavelength within a third wavelength range; the wavelengths in the first, second and third wavelength ranges are all different.
It is difficult for the light emitting chip to emit laser light having only one wavelength, and the laser light emitted by the light emitting chip includes light having a plurality of wavelengths in one wavelength range. The center wavelength of the laser light emitted from the light emitting chip may be a median of the plurality of wavelengths, or may be represented by an average of a minimum wavelength and a maximum wavelength of the laser light emitted from the light emitting chip. If the light emitting chip emits laser light with a central wavelength of 530 nm, the light emitting chip actually emits laser light with different wavelengths in the range of 529 nm to 531 nm.
The laser emitted by the first polarity light emitting chip and the laser emitted by the second polarity light emitting chip in the laser can be mixed to obtain white laser. Alternatively, the part of the light emitting chips and the other part of the light emitting chips may be located on different sides of the other pair of sides of the rectangle. Optionally, the one part of the light emitting chips and the another part of the light emitting chips may also be alternately arranged on each of the pair of edges of the another part of the pair, and at this time, the light mixing effect of the laser light emitted by the one part of the light emitting chips and the another part of the light emitting chips is better, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application.
For example, the first wavelength range may be 640 nm to 780 nm, the second wavelength range may be 505 nm to 525 nm, and the third wavelength range may be 430 nm to 470 nm. That is, the first polarity light emitting chip may emit red laser light, a portion of the second polarity light emitting chip may emit green laser light, and another portion of the second polarity light emitting chip may emit blue laser light. Because the proportion of red light in white light is more, and the proportion of blue light to green light is equivalent, for example, the proportion of red light, blue light and green light in white light can be 2: 1: 1, the number of the first polarity light emitting chips in the embodiment of the present application may be equal to the number of the second polarity light emitting chips, and half of the second polarity light emitting chips may be configured to emit blue laser light, and the other half of the second polarity light emitting chips may be configured to emit green laser light.
The light emitting chip may be electrically connected to an external power source in various ways. In an optional implementation manner, the laser may further include a conductive pin, and the conductive pin may be electrically connected to an electrode of the light emitting chip through a wire, so as to transmit an external power to the light emitting chip, and further excite the light emitting chip to emit laser light. For example, the conductive pins may be connected to electrodes of adjacent light emitting chips by wires, and electrodes of adjacent light emitting chips for emitting laser light in the same wavelength range may be connected by wires to transmit power to each light emitting chip. For example, the wire may be a gold wire, i.e., the material of the wire is gold. In another optional implementation manner, a conductive strip may be disposed between the light emitting chip and the bottom plate, an electrode of the light emitting chip is connected to the conductive strip, and the conductive strip may be electrically connected to an external power source, so as to transmit the external power source to the light emitting chip and excite the light emitting chip to emit laser. It should be noted that, in the two optional implementation manners, a plurality of light emitting chips are taken as an example to be connected in series, and optionally, each light emitting chip may also be electrically connected to an external power supply through a wire, respectively.
Alternatively, the laser may emit laser light with a central wavelength in different wavelength ranges in a time-sharing manner, and the laser light with the different wavelength ranges is mixed to obtain white laser light. For example, the first polarity light emitting chip, the part of the second polarity light emitting chips, and the other part of the second polarity light emitting chips may sequentially emit laser light, electrodes of the first polarity light emitting chips in the laser may be connected, electrodes of the part of the light emitting chips may be connected, and electrodes of the other part of the light emitting chips may be connected. In the embodiment of the present application, the first polarity light emitting chip is located on one pair of opposite sides of the rectangle, and one part of the second polarity light emitting chip and the other part of the second polarity light emitting chip are located on different sides of the other pair of opposite sides of the rectangle, so that the electrodes of the first polarity light emitting chip can be conveniently connected, the electrodes of the one part of the light emitting chip can be conveniently connected, and the electrodes of the other part of the light emitting chip can be conveniently connected.
Optionally, in the embodiment of the present application, for two adjacent light emitting chips that emit laser beams with center wavelengths both located in the same wavelength range, the center wavelengths of the laser beams emitted by the two light emitting chips are different, and the same wavelength range is any one of the first wavelength range, the second wavelength range, and the third wavelength range. For example, in the embodiment of the present application, the center wavelengths of the laser light emitted by any two adjacent light emitting chips are different and are located on the same side of the rectangle enclosed by the light emitting chips. For example, the center wavelengths of the red laser beams emitted by the two adjacent light emitting chips for emitting the red laser beams are different, the center wavelengths of the blue laser beams emitted by the two adjacent light emitting chips for emitting the blue laser beams are different, and the center wavelengths of the green laser beams emitted by the two adjacent light emitting chips for emitting the green laser beams are also different. Alternatively, the absolute value of the difference between the center wavelengths of the laser light emitted from any two light emitting chips may be greater than or equal to 1 nm. Such as 1 nanometer or 2 nanometers.
It should be noted that, in the related art, a laser is generally used as a light source of a projection apparatus to perform projection display, so that a speckle effect is usually generated. The speckle effect refers to an effect that after two laser beams emitted by a coherent light source are scattered when irradiating a rough object (such as a screen of a projection device), the two laser beams interfere in space, and finally granular light and dark spots appear on the screen. Two adjacent light emitting chips emitting laser with the same wavelength and constant phase in the laser are coherent light sources. The speckle effect makes the display effect of the projection image worse, and the spots which are not focused and have alternate light and shade are in a twinkling state when being seen by human eyes, so that the user is easy to feel dizzy when watching for a long time, and the watching experience of the user is worse.
In the embodiment of the present application, for two adjacent light emitting chips in which the central wavelengths of the emitted laser beams are located in the same wavelength range, the central wavelengths of the laser beams emitted by the two light emitting chips are different, so that the two light emitting chips are not coherent light sources. Therefore, the laser emitted by the two light emitting chips is difficult to interfere, so that the speckle effect when the laser is used as a light source of the projection equipment for projection display can be reduced, the projection image is prevented from being deformed, the display effect of the projection image is improved, and the vertigo caused by watching by human eyes is avoided.
Optionally, for two adjacent light emitting chips that emit laser light whose center wavelength is in the same wavelength range, any wavelength of the laser light emitted by the two light emitting chips is different. For example, the maximum wavelength of the laser light emitted from one of the two light emitting chips may be smaller than the minimum wavelength emitted from the other light emitting chip. Therefore, the two light-emitting chips are further ensured not to be coherent light sources, and the laser emitted by the two light-emitting chips is prevented from generating interference.
It should be noted that, in the related art, the laser emits two kinds of laser light with different polarization directions, and the reflectivities of the laser light with different polarization directions on the curtain are different, for example, the reflectivity of the curtain for P-polarized light is greater than the reflectivity for S-polarized light. And because the optical lens has different transmissivity and reflectivity for P polarized light and S polarized light, for example, the transmissivity of the optical lens for P polarized light is greater than that for S polarized light. Therefore, the P-polarized light emitted from the laser in the related art can be more reflected toward the curtain and reflected to the human eye. If the laser emitted by the laser in the related art is directly projected on the curtain, the formed projected image may have a local color cast, for example, a partial region is red, so that the actually displayed color is different from the color to be displayed. The application of the ultra-short-focus projection equipment is more and more extensive at present, and the more the number of the optical lenses in the ultra-short-focus projection equipment is, the more the color cast condition of the projected image is obvious.
In the embodiment of the application, the laser can directly emit laser with the same polarization direction, so that the transmittance of the laser emitted by the laser passing through the optical lens can be the same, and the reflectivity on the curtain can be the same, so that the light flux of the light with different colors reflected by the curtain to enter human eyes is balanced, the color cast of the projected image is improved, and the display effect of the projected image is improved.
Alternatively, fig. 11 is a schematic structural diagram of a laser according to another embodiment of the present disclosure, fig. 11 may be a schematic diagram of a section c-c' in the laser shown in fig. 10, and fig. 10 may be a top view of a part of the structure in the laser shown in fig. 11. As shown in fig. 11, laser 20 may further include a package 205 and a sealed light transmitting layer 206. The package 205 may be ring-shaped and attached to the base 201, and the package 205, the light-transmissive sealing layer 206 and the base 201 may form a sealed space in which the light-emitting chip and the reflective prism in the laser 20 may be located. Optionally, the sealed space may be filled with an inert gas, such as nitrogen, to protect the light emitting chip from being oxidized.
Alternatively, the edges of the light-transmissive sealing layer 206 may be glued to the surface of the package 205 remote from the base 201, or the light-transmissive sealing layer 206 may be fixed to the package by other means. For example, as shown in fig. 11, the laser 20 may further include an upper cover 207, the upper cover 207 is located on a side of the light emitting chip 202 away from the base plate 201, the upper cover 207 may have a ring shape, and a middle region of the upper cover 207 is recessed toward the base plate 201. The edge region of the upper cover 207 is fixed to the surface of the housing 205 remote from the base plate 201. The light-transmitting sealant 206 is located on the side of the middle region of the upper lid 207 away from the bottom plate 201, so that the light-transmitting sealant 206 is fixed to the package 205 through the upper lid 207. The upper cover 207, the light transmissive sealing layer 206, the package 205, and the base plate 201 may form a sealed space in which the light emitting chip and the reflective prism are located.
Optionally, with continued reference to fig. 11, the laser 20 may further include a plurality of collimating lenses 208 corresponding to the light emitting chips 202 one by one, and the collimating lenses 208 may be located on a surface of the sealed and transparent layer 206 away from the bottom plate 201. The laser light emitted by each light emitting chip is reflected by the corresponding reflection prism and then emitted to the corresponding collimating lens 208, and the collimating lens 208 can collimate the laser light and then emit the laser light out of the laser. Alternatively, as shown in fig. 11, the plurality of collimating lenses 208 may be integrally formed, or the plurality of collimating lenses may be independent from each other, which is not limited in the embodiment of the present application. It should be noted that fig. 11 illustrates that the plurality of collimating lenses are located on a side of the light-transmitting sealing layer 206 away from the bottom plate 201, alternatively, the collimating lenses may also be located in the above-mentioned sealed space, and the embodiment of the present application is not limited.
Because the polarization direction of the laser is perpendicular to the transmission direction, in the first polarity light-emitting chip and the second polarity light-emitting chip, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by one type of light-emitting chip is parallel to the bottom plate, the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the other type of light-emitting chip is perpendicular to the bottom plate, and the polarization direction of the laser emitted by the one type of light-emitting chip is the same as the propagation direction of the laser emitted by the other type of light-emitting chip. In this case, the reflecting prism may change only the polarization direction of the laser light emitted by the other light emitting chip to be the same as the original transmission direction of the laser light, and does not change the polarization direction of the laser light emitted by the one light emitting chip, so that the polarization directions of the laser light emitted by the first and second light emitting chips are the same as the original transmission direction of the laser light emitted by the one light emitting chip after being reflected by the reflecting prism. Therefore, the laser with the same polarization direction can be directly obtained by using the laser as the light source of the projection equipment, a half-wave plate is not required to be arranged in the projection equipment, and the volume of the projection equipment is smaller, so that the projection equipment is favorably miniaturized.

The laser 20 may be any one of the lasers shown in fig. 5, 6 and 9-11.
