Description
Technical Field
The invention belongs to the field of daily chemical industry, and particularly relates to an essential oil composition and application thereof in preparing an air freshener.
Background
An air freshener is a product which covers peculiar smell by emitting fragrance and relieves people from uncomfortable feeling of the peculiar smell, and generally comprises components such as ethanol, essence, deionized water and the like. Most of the commercially available air fresheners contain organic solvents such as dimethyl ether and propane, so that unpleasant odor is mainly covered, the air fresheners cannot really play a role in bacteriostasis, secondary pollution is generated, nerve symptoms such as nerve paralysis and sensory nerve abnormality can be caused after long-term use, and the immunity of a human body is reduced. Although some air fresheners are also added with disinfectant components, the problems of insufficient safety of the disinfectant components or poor bacteriostatic and bactericidal effects exist
In recent years, natural plant source air fresheners are hot spots of current research, and the essential oil components are considered to be added into the air fresheners so as to reduce the harm to human health and air, but the antibacterial effect of the prepared product cannot meet the actual requirement.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide an essential oil composition with good bacteriostatic effect, and the essential oil composition can be applied to the preparation of air fresheners.
Disclosure of Invention
The present invention is directed to solving at least one of the problems of the prior art described above. Therefore, the essential oil composition provided by the invention adopts multiple natural plant essential oils for reasonable proportioning, realizes a better antibacterial effect, and does not cause harm to human health.
The invention also discloses an air freshener containing the essential oil composition and a preparation method thereof.
An essential oil composition mainly comprises the following components in percentage by volume:
50-60% of cinnamon essential oil
40-50% of tea tree essential oil
0-10% of licorice essential oil.
The above essential oils are all commercially available products. The plant essential oil has the advantages of strong volatility, good antibacterial activity, pleasant smell and the like, is concerned about, and is widely applied to the fields of medical care, daily chemical industry and the like. It can be obtained from flower, leaf, root, etc. of plant by squeezing, steam distilling, solvent extracting, etc., and has antibacterial, antioxidant, insecticidal, mosquito repelling, and other biological activities.
At present, researches on extraction methods, chemical components, bacteriostatic activity and mechanism and related application of single essential oil are more, but researches on compatibility among essential oils are less. According to the invention, the essential oil composition with better antibacterial effect is obtained by matching the essential oils, and the research and application of the synergistic antibacterial effect of the cinnamon essential oil and the tea tree essential oil are not reported.
The preparation method of the essential oil composition comprises the following steps: weighing the essential oil according to the formula ratio, and mixing to obtain the essential oil composition.
Preferably, the bacteriostatic essential oil composition consists of the following components in percentage by volume:
cinnamon essential oil 59%
41 percent of tea tree essential oil.
An air freshener comprises the essential oil composition.
Preferably, the air freshener is in the form of a solid, liquid or aerosol.
Preferably, the air freshener further comprises a solvent, hydrogenated castor oil, and tween.
More preferably, the air freshener comprises the following components in parts by mass:
more preferably, the solvent is selected from at least one of ethanol, propylene glycol or water.
The preparation method of the air freshener comprises the following steps:
weighing the components according to the formula, mixing the essential oil with the tween and the hydrogenated castor oil, and then adding the solvent to prepare the air freshener.
Compared with the prior art, the invention has the following beneficial effects:
(1) compared with the common single-component essential oil or compound essential oil, the essential oil composition has better bacteriostatic effect;
(2) the essential oil composition is applied to the preparation of the air freshener, has a good antibacterial effect (the average bacterial reduction rate can reach 94.44%), does not use toxic solvents such as dimethyl ether and propane, does not cause harm to the environment and human health, and has the characteristics of safety and high efficiency.

Product effectiveness testing
The bacteriostatic effect of the single cinnamon essential oil, tea tree essential oil and liquorice essential oil, the essential oil compositions prepared in the examples 1-2 and the comparative examples 1-2 is examined by taking staphylococcus aureus as a test bacterium.
Determination of the inhibition zone: absorbing 200 μ L of the suspension liquid (10) by using a paper diffusion method6CFU/mL) to a solid medium (4.5g nutrient broth, 5.0g agar powder, and distilled water to a constant volume of 250.00mL) to make a plate containing bacteria. Filter paper sheets (diameter 6mm) were laid flat on the medium. The concentration of the above essential oil or essential oil composition was diluted to 20% (v/v) with 50% ethanol, respectively, and then dropped into 10. mu.L onto a filter paper sheet. Placing into an incubator at 37 ℃ for 24 h. The size of the zone of inhibition was measured with a vernier caliper, the experiment was repeated 3 times, and the average value was taken. The standard of the sensitivity to the test strain is judged according to the diameter of the inhibition zone, and the inhibition effect is shown in the table 1:
TABLE 1
As can be seen from table 1, the essential oil compositions of examples 1 to 2 have larger diameter of the zone of inhibition and better effect of inhibition than the single essential oil and the essential oil compositions of comparative examples 1 to 2.
Indoor bacteriostasis test: the air fresheners of examples 3 to 4 and comparative examples 3 to 5 were used for the bacteriostatic test in the room by the plate sedimentation method. At 25m3The sampling room is placed with 5 nutrient agar plates, the sampling is carried out according to the requirements of indoor air quality standard, the sampling points select four corners and the center in the room, the distance between the sampling points and the ground is 1m, the sampling points are exposed for 60min, and air samples before and after spraying (namely after spraying for 30 min) are respectively collected. And a common agar plate was placed on the table top (1m high) without opening the lid, to serve as a control (control plate should be formed sterile). Then placing the remaining common plates in a constant temperature incubator at 37 DEG CAnd culturing for 24 h. The number of colonies per plate was recorded and the bacterial reduction rate (%) was calculated per nutrient agar plate (number of bacteria before application-number of bacteria after application)/number of bacteria before application 100%, and the results of the in-house bacteriostasis are shown in table 2:
TABLE 2
As can be seen from Table 2, the air fresheners prepared in examples 3 to 4 have a higher bacteria reduction rate and a more significant bacteriostatic effect than those prepared in comparative examples 3 to 5. In particular, the air freshener in example 4 (the essential oil composition is 59% of cinnamon essential oil and 41% of tea tree essential oil) has a bacteriostasis effect of 94.44% on natural air bacteria, which is obviously superior to 82.03% of the bacteriostasis rate of the air freshener in comparative example 5 (a commercially available air freshener), and the air purification effect is obviously improved. The experiments show that the three essential oils are mixed according to a proper proportion, so that an obvious synergistic antibacterial effect can be realized, and the natural plant essential oil can not cause harm to the health of a human body, and can be used for producing an air freshener product with environmental protection, safety and good antibacterial effect.
