The controller 5 is respectively connected with the heating element 3 , the button part 6 and the power source 7 . The controller 5 controls the energy supplied to the heating element 3 to adjust the heating temperature, typically heating the aerosol-forming substrate to a temperature between 250 and 450 degrees Celsius.

1. An aerosol-generating device having a wraparound airflow, the aerosol-generating device comprising: an upper shell, a collecting part and a heating component, wherein
The upper housing having an inner wall and an outer wall, the inner wall defining a cavity for receiving the aerosol-forming substrate, the cavity being configured in an approximately elliptical cylinder, the proximal end of the upper housing forming an elliptical opening to receive the aerosol-forming substrate,
the collecting part is arranged at the far end of the upper shell opposite to the near end and used for collecting smoke residue or debris falling when the exhausted aerosol forming base material is replaced, the bottom surface of the collecting part is provided with at least one opening, the bottom surface of the collecting part is also provided with a bulge part for supporting the aerosol forming base material contained in the cavity to form a gap below the end surface of the aerosol forming base material,
the heat generating component penetrates through the aperture into the interior of the aerosol-forming substrate contained within the cavity,
a first air flow channel surrounding the aerosol-forming substrate is formed between the outer wrap of the aerosol-forming substrate and the inner wall of the upper housing, the air flow of the first air flow channel flowing from the proximal end to the distal end of the upper housing; the interior of the aerosol-forming substrate forms a second airflow channel, the airflow of which flows from the distal end to the proximal end of the upper housing; the void below the end face of the aerosol-forming substrate forms a third airflow channel that communicates the first airflow channel and the second airflow channel.

An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1, wherein the shortest inner diameter of the elliptical cylinder cavity is arranged to match the outer diameter of the aerosol-forming substrate and the longest inner diameter of the elliptical cylinder cavity is arranged to be 0.5-5 mm longer than the outer diameter of the aerosol-forming substrate.
3. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1, wherein the projection of the collecting portion base surface is formed as an annular projection centred on the aperture.
4. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 3, wherein the annular protrusion is further provided with a plurality of grooves in a radial direction.
5. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1, wherein the collecting portion further comprises a side wall extending from a bottom surface, the bottom surface and the side wall being configured as a cylinder open at one end and being detachably connected to the aerosol-generating device at the other end.
6. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 4, wherein the side walls of the collecting portion are receivable in a narrow gap between the outer and inner walls of the upper housing.
7. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1, wherein the clamping force of the cavity against the aerosol-forming substrate is set to 0.5N-8N.
8. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1 in which the first, second and third air flow channels together provide a resistance to draw of 200 and 1000 Pa.
9. An aerosol-generating device according to claim 1, further comprising a lower housing, the distal end of the upper housing being removably connected to the lower housing of the aerosol-generating device.
