Abstract
La presente invención se relaciona con el campo de la minería, en particular con procesos que involucran microorganismos para obtener cobre a partir de minerales y proporciona un reactivo para aumentar la recuperación de cobre en procesos de flotación de sulfuros de cobre que se caracteriza porque comprende células de microorganismos acidófilos que se seleccionan del conjunto formado por Acidithiobacillus sp, Leptospirilum ferriphilum y Acidiphillum sp, así como combinaciones de las mismas. La presente invención proporciona, además, un método para obtener un reactivo para aumentar la recuperación de cobre en procesos de flotación de sulfuros de cobre que se caracteriza porque comprende los pasos de: cultivar en condiciones apropiadas células de microorganismos acidófilos que se seleccionan del conjunto formado por Acidithiobacillus sp, Leptospirilum ferriphilum y Acidiphillum sp, así como combinaciones de las mismas; y recuperar las células después de dicho cultivo.
