Abstract
A pigment concentrate capable of being converted into pills is employed for colouring polymers intended for the manufacture of fibres or films. This concentrate is made up of an intimate dispersion, practically free from agglomerate and containing, by weight, a) from 20 to 55 % of pigment, b) from 5 to 35 % of a friable dispersion resin chosen from the group consisting of hydrocarbon resins of low molecular weight and natural resin esters which have a softening point of 70-195 DEG C, and c) from 30 to 65 % of a low molecular weight copolyester of ethylene glycol, of at least one aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diol containing 4 to 10 carbon atoms and at least one dicarboxylic acid or its ester, this copolyester having a melting range of 140 to 200 DEG C.
