Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung von Hohlräumen im Innern von Gussstüeken. Vielfach ist man gezwungen, bei gegos senen Konstruktionsteilen in deren Innerem Hohlräume vorzusehen. Es ist bekannt, solche Hohlräume durch Einbringen von armierten Sandkernen in der Gussform auszusparen. Sind die Hohlräume eng oder von kompli zierter Form, so ist es schwierig, die Armie- rung des Sandkernes herauszuziehen, obgleich der Sand unter Umständen herausgeklopft werden kann.
Dieser Mangel wird beseitigt durch das Verfahren der vorliegenden Erfindung, gemäss welchem Metallkörper, vorzugsweise Hohl körper, als Kerne verwendet werden, die nach dem Giessvorgang durch Einwirkung auf lösender Mittel, z. B. auf chemischem Wege, entfernt werden. Auf diese Weise können im Gussstück die gewünschten Hohlräume er halten werden.
Beim Herauslösen des Metallkernes durch chemische Einwirkung geeigneter Substanzen ist es zweckmässig, eine Beschädigung des Gussstoffes zu verhindern. Dies kann durch Aufbringen einer solchen Schicht auf der Oberfläche des Metallkörpers vor dem Giessen erfolgen, welche sich gegen die lösende Sub stanz neutral verhält und von ihr nicht ge löst wird. Diese Schicht kann aus keramischen Stoffen, 'säurefesten und hochhitzebeständigen Metallen u. a. bestehen. Eine Beschädigung des Gussstückes kann auch dadurch verhin dert werden, dass der zum Vergiessen gelan gende Werkstoff selbst, z.
B. säurefester Guss, gegen den Angriff der lösenden Chemikalien unempfindlich ist. Inletzterem Fall kann man auf den Metallkörper vor dem Einlegen in die Form einen Stoff aufbringen, der jedes Verschmelzen oder aber jeden metallischen Kontakt zum vornherein verunmöglicht, was besonders dann wichtig ist, wenn ein elektrolytisches Lösungs verfahren angewendet wird. Solche ausge sparte Hohlräume irgendwelcher Form können z.
B. als Durchlaufsystem zu Heizzwecken verwendet werden, da nach dem Entfernen des Metallkernes nur noch die homogene Masse des Gusskörpers übrig bleibt. Störungen im Wärmeübergang, selbst auch nur auf kleinsten Gebieten der Kanalumgebung, können bei den nach dem Verfahren gemäss der Erfindung erhaltenen Gussstücken vermieden werden.
