Abstract

L'invention concerne un décodeur pour décoder des coefficients de blocs d'une séquence vidéo à partir d'un train de bits. Le décodeur comprend un module de liste de motifs de balayage pour fournir un ou plusieurs ordres de balayage prédéfinis, un générateur d'ordre de balayage pour générer un ou plusieurs ordres de balayage, un dispositif de sélection d'ordre de balayage pour sélectionner un ordre de balayage pour chaque bloc à partir des ordres de balayage prédéfinis et générés sur la base d'informations d'ordre de balayage contenues dans le train de bits, un module de décodage pour décoder un ou plusieurs vecteurs de coefficient de chaque bloc à partir du train de bits, un convertisseur série-parallèle pour effectuer un balayage inverse, pour chaque bloc, du ou des vecteurs de coefficient de ce bloc selon l'ordre de balayage sélectionné pour ce bloc de façon à obtenir une matrice de coefficients. Le générateur d'ordre de balayage génère le ou les ordres de balayage en fonction d'une ou plusieurs matrices de coefficients obtenues précédemment de blocs de la séquence vidéo.
