Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à des appareils, à des processus et à des systèmes pour déterminer les caractéristiques d'un tissu de fabrication de papier. Les appareils, processus et systèmes utilisent une représentation d'une partie d'une surface du tissu, la représentation présentant les emplacements et les tailles de jointures et de poches dans la surface du tissu. Une image de la partie du tissu est générée sur la base de la représentation. A l'aide de l'image affichée, un contour est dessiné autour d'au moins une des jointures, et des lignes de guidage sont dessinées de sorte que les lignes de guidage traversent le centre de la jointure décrite, traversent les autres jointures et forment une forme qui entourent les zones de l'image qui correspondent à l'endroit où les poches sont formées entre les jointures. Grâce à la jointure décrite et aux lignes de guidage, les propriétés qui influent sur la fonctionnalité de fabrication de papier du tissu peuvent être calculées.
