Abstract
La présente invention a trait à un appareil, un système, et un procédé pour l'extraction in situ de pétrole à partir de schistes bitumineux. Le procédé comprend le forage d'un conduit de fluide (114) en communication fluidique avec le haut et le fond d'une zone cible (210) au sein d'une formation de schistes bitumineux. Le procédé comprend la stimulation de la zone cible (210). Le procédé comprend également l'injection d'un fluide réchauffé (122) dans le fond de la zone cible (210) de sorte que le fluide réchauffé (122) entraîne le kérogène au sein de la zone cible (210) dans le fluide injecté (122) en vue de générer un fluide de production (126). Le procédé se termine avec la production du fluide de production (126), contenant le kérogène in situ, depuis le haut de la zone cible (210) jusqu'à la surface.
