LUMINOUS COSMETIC
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[00021 The present invention generally relates to cosmetics and, more specifically, relates to a luminous cosmetic with liquid cosmetic received therein.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[00031 With the development of economic and the improvement of quality of living, cosmetics are becoming more and more popular in people's daily life.
Generally, a cosmetic includes a container for receiving cosmetic material therein and a cover formed with a brush detachably assembled on the container. In use, the cover is opened and acts as a handle. The brush with liquid cosmetics adhere thereto can directly be used to fake up.
[0004] However, people usually fake up in evening or in dark circumstances.
The dim light potentially leads to the users can not see his or her face clearly, which will adversely affect makeup effect.

Attorney Reference No. P18141CA
[0005] What is needed, therefore, is to provide a new cosmetic which can be used conveniently even in dark circumstances.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0006] One object of the present invention is to provide a luminous cosmetic which can be used in dark circumstances.
[0007] According to one embodiment of the present invention, a luminous cosmetic includes a container and a cover detachably attached to the container. The cover includes a hollow inner cover, an outer cover, an intermediate seat integrally formed with a pole and defining a chamber located between the inner cover and the outer cover, and an illuminating device having a light emitting diode (LED) seated in the chamber.
When the cover is removed from the container, the circuit of the illuminating device is connected and the LED emits light. When the cover is assembled to the container, the circuit of the illuminating device is disconnected and the LED is turned off.
[0008] Specifically, the illuminating device includes a bottom plate connected with the LED. The bottom plate is electrically connected with a spring, a battery and a fixed conductive pad successively. Other ends of the spring and the fixed conductive pad are electrically connected with positive and negative electrodes of the LED.
[0009] Specifically, the inner cover and the neck of the container each define threads for correspondingly coupling the cover to the container. The outer cover is formed with a number of ribs contacting with upper surface of the battery and departing from the fixed conductive pad. When the inner cover is fastened onto the container, the upper surface of Attorney Reference No. P18141CA
the container upwardly resists against the lower surface of the intermediate seat, and the intermediate seat move upwardly. Due to the cooperation of the ribs and the spring, the fixed conductive pad disengages from the upper surface of the battery.
[0010] Specifically, the inner cover is formed with two protrusions. The intermediate seat correspondingly defines two through slots at side wall thereof for receiving the two protrusions. The two protrusions can move up and down smoothly along the two through slots.
[0011] Specifically, the outer cover and the inner cover are combined to each other via bonding or mechanical engagement.
[0012] Specifically, the pole is provided with a brush at a lower end thereof.
[0013] Specifically, the fixed conductive pad is assembled to the side wall of the intermediate seat.
[0014] Compared with prior arts, the luminous cosmetic of the present invention at least has the following advantage. In use, when the cover is removed from the container, the LED of the illuminating device emits light for lighting up the brush formed on the pole and, therefore, the user can clearly see his or her face.
[0015] Other advantages and novel features will be drawn from the following detailed description of preferred embodiments with the attached drawings, in which:

[0024] Fig. 9 depicts a partly cross-sectional view of a luminous cosmetic according to a second embodiment of the present invention, wherein a circuit of illuminating device thereof is disconnected; and [0025] Fig. 10 depicts a partly cross-sectional view of the luminous cosmetic of Fig. 9, wherein the circuit of the illuminating device is connected.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0026] Referring to Figs. 1 to 8, a luminous cosmetic according to a first embodiment of the present invention includes a container 1 and a cover 2 detachably coupled to the container 1. The cover 2 includes a hollow inner cover 4, an outer cover 5 seated around , Attorney Reference No. P18141CA
the inner cover 4, an intermediate seat 6 integrally formed with a pole 3 and defining a chamber 15 arranged between the inner cover 4 and the outer cover 5, and an illuminating device 7 having an illuminator 8, for instance a light emitting diode (LED) received in the chamber 15. The intermediate seat 6 is made from transparent material.
Referring particularly to Fig. 8, when the cover 2 is removed from the container 1, the circuit of the illuminating device is connected and the LED 8 emits light. Referring specifically to Fig.
7, when the cover 2 is fastened on the container 1, the circuit of the illuminating device 7 is disconnected and the LED 8 is turned off.
[0027] Referring particularly to Fig. 3, the illuminating device 7 includes a bottom plate 9 connected with the LED 8. The bottom plate 9 is electrically connected with a spring 10, a battery 11 and a fixed conductive pad 13 successively. Other ends of the spring 10 and the fixed conductive pad 13 are electrically connected to positive and negative electrodes of the LED 8. Referring particularly to Figs. 1 and 4, the intermediate seat 6 is provided with the chamber 15 for compliantly holding the LED 8 therein.
[0028] Referring to Figs. 5 to 8, the inner cover 4 and the neck 101 of the container 1 each defines threads 41, 102 for coupling the cover 2 to the container 1.
Referring to Fig.
6, top wall 51 of the outer cover 5 is formed with a number of ribs 16. The ribs 16 engage upper surface 111 of the battery 11 while depart from the fixed conductive pad 13.
Referring particularly to Fig. 7, when the inner cover 4 is fastened onto the container 1, top surface 121 of the container 1 abuts against the lower surface 61 of the intermediate seat 6 and, therefore, actuates the intermediate seat 6 to move upwardly.
Under the joint action of the ribs 16 and the spring 10, the fixed conductive pad 13 disengages from the upper surface 111 of the battery 11.
[0029] Referring to Figs. 4, 5, 7 and 8, inner side of the inner cover 4 is formed with Attorney Reference No. P18141CA
two protrusions 14. The side wall of the intermediate seat 6 correspondingly defines two through slots 17 for suitably receiving the two protrusions 14. The protrusions 14 can move up and down along the through slots 17 smoothly.
[0030] Referring to Fig. 1, the outer cover 5 and the inner cover 4 are coupled to each other via bonding or mechanical engagement. The pole 3 is provided with a brush 12 at a lower end thereof.
[0031] Referring to Fig. 7, the fixed conductive pad 13 is fixed on the side wall of the intermediate seat 6.
[0032] Figs. 9 and 10 illustrate a second embodiment of the luminous cosmetic according to the present invention, wherein the inner cover 4 is formed with a clasp 18, the neck 101 of the container 1 is correspondingly provided with a groove 19 for suitably receiving the clasp 18. Other features of the luminous cosmetic of the luminous cosmetic according to the second embodiment of the present invention are the same as those have been disclosed in the first embodiment of the present invention and will not be described in detail here again.
