Abstract
The present invention discloses a method for manufacturing a fir wood decoration material by adding a "sealing-coating" technique to a white paste mending process for manufacturing traditional wood decoration materials. Due to the color staining and oil staining properties, the knots of wood material is mended by a white paste after a fir decoration material is formed. General wood flour is used for the mending, and then sealing paint is coated onto the white paste to preclude the occurrence of color staining and oil staining. After the defects of color stain, oil stain, and obvious lines of the fir wood are eliminated, it is not necessary to remove the knots of the fir wood during its manufacturing, and the coating will not be peeled off easily, so as to improve the yield rate and lower the cost.
Description
METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING FIR WOOD DECORATION MATERIALS
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing wood decoration materials, and more particularly to a method for manufacturing fir wood decoration materials.
Description of the Related Art In general, traditional wood decoration materials adopt pine wood or miscellaneous wood. During the manufacturing process, it is necessary to remove the knots of pine wood and paint a special coating with a thickness of about 1 mm to fully cover the wood color and defects, and finally applyt a standard paint. Since the coating may be easily peeled off, the rate of defects and the cost are high. If fir wood is used as a substitute for pine wood, it still requires the prior art coating technique. Since fir wood is soft and has many knots, the manufacturing effect is poor, even after painting a special coating and standard paint onto the fir wood. The defects, including color staining, oil staining, and obvious lines, still exist.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing fir wood decoration materials that substitutes fir wood for pine wood to overcome the problems associated with the oil staining, color staining and obvious lines of the pine wood.
To achieve the foregoing objective, the method for manufacturing fir wood decoration materials of the present invention comprises a basic material preparation, a white paste mending, and a painting process, characterized by adding the steps of (Step 1) -i-coating a sealing paint onto all knots, tree cores, and darker wood areas on the white paste, and (Step 2) applying a further coating mater on the white paste.
The sealing paint can be an oil-based paint or a water soluble paint providing a sealing effect.
The coating material used in Step 2 is a material comprised of a coating glue and calcium carbonate.
The coating glue preferably is a polypropylene emulsified glue.
Since the method of the present invention involves the addition of a "sealing-coating" technique to a white paste mending process for manufacturing traditional wood decoration materials, and the pine wood has the color staining and oil staining properties, therefore after the foregoing solution is adopted and the material is formed, general wood flour is used in the white paste to mend the knots, and then a sealing paint is coated onto the white paste to preclude the occurrence of color staining and oil staining. After the defects of color stain, oil stain, and obvious lines of the fir wood are eliminated, it is not necessary to remove the knots of the fir wood during its manufacturing. The thickness of the coating is just about 0.3 mm to fully cover the wood, and the coating will not be peeled off easily, so as to improve the yield rate and lower the cost. Furthermore, the fir wood is much easier to obtain than the pine wood, and the fir wood also is light in weight with good resistance to rot.
Therefore, the method of the present invention can be used extensively for producing wood decoration materials.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
The method for manufacturing fir decoration materials comprises the steps of a basic material preparation: raw wood, chopping, sawing, steaming, backing, cutting, planing, connecting, trimming, piecing together, rough cutting, and forming; a white paste mending: painting a sealing paint and coating; and a coating process: double scissoring, ~
sandblasting by hands, painting, checking for acceptance and packing, and shipping to a warehouse.
1. Standard for Sealing Paint Technique 1. Choice of Sealing Paint An oil-based paint with a sealing effect such as polyurethane paint or nitro cellulose lacquer is chosen as the sealing paint. A water soluble paint such as a water emulsified paint can be used as well.
2. Method of Use (a) Spray or brush a sealing paint onto all knots, tree cores, and darker wood on the white paste for one or two times. The thickness of the sealing paint is around 0.005 to 0.10 mm.
(b) To expedite the solidification, place the wood material into a baking room at a temperature below 70 C for baking.
(c) Each ply of wood is separated neatly by a spacer to have good ventilation.
(d) After each ply of wood is solidified, go to the next step of manufacturing process.
II. Standard of Coating Technique 1. Choice of Coating Material The coating material is comprised of a coating glue and calcium carbonate.
The coating glue preferably is polyethylene emulsified glue.
Technical indexes pH value 4-7%
Viscosity (at 25 C) 50-100Pas Technical indexes of calcium carbonate powder:
Main Content %
(based on CaCO3) Water % 0.3 Whiteness % 95 Activation % 99 Granule Level 30-1000 Glue: Powder ratio is 30-50: 100, and both are mixed evenly.
2. Coating Method A mold is polished according to the size of the white paste, and a thickness of the first coating is maintained at 0.15-0.20 mm and the second coating at 0.10-0.15mm.
The first coat is hard and rough, and thus it requires a small pressure and a fast speed for the coating. The powder of the second coat is fine and the coating is smooth and the surface is bright and clean.
The second coat is coated after the first coat is solidified for 8 hours.
The fir wood is placed into a baking room at 60 C for expediting the solidification after the coating process.
Each ply of wood is separated neatly by a space for good ventilation.
