Abstract
La présente invention concerne des systèmes et procédés permettant de surveiller des sujets, particulièrement pendant le sommeil. En l'occurrence, on enregistre des données respiratoires et sonores, ce qui permet, grâce à des caractéristiques sélectionnées, de reconnaître les réveils par toux comme événements connexes dans ces deux signaux. En outre, les réveils par toux sont reconnus quand une toux vraisemblable se produit en association avec un réveil reconnu à l'électroencéphalogramme. Les événements de réveil par toux sont combinés en un indicateur de réveil par toux caractéristique de la gravité de la maladie et de l'interruption du sommeil en raison de la toux. Les procédés de l'invention, qui sont informatisés, sont réalisables sous forme de progiciel comportant un support informatique. Les mesures et les indicateurs établis au moyen de l'invention conviennent à la surveillance et au traitement d'affections respiratoires.
