Abstract

L'invention concerne un logiciel de conception qui, selon un mode de réalisation, est configuré pour fournir en temps réel des représentations tridimensionnelles crédibles des choix d'un utilisateur. Des éléments conceptuels, qu'il aurait été autrement difficile de rendre efficacement en trois dimensions et en temps réel, sont pré-rendus afin d'obtenir des effets visuels réalistes, tels qu'un ombrage réaliste, qui correspondent à diverses positions des éléments dans un espace de conception. Des blancs des effets visuels pour chaque position sont ensuite stockés dans une mémoire de données pour réaliser des effets visuels. Au moment de l'exécution, les données associées aux choix conceptuels de l'utilisateur, ainsi que les blancs pour tout élément de conception correspondant, sont introduites en une opération dans un matériel de traitement périphérique, tel qu'une GPU, qui envoie les données traitées à un dispositif d'affichage. L'utilisateur peut ainsi visualiser efficacement et avec plus de réalisme des données visuelles complexes de certains choix conceptuels.
