Abstract

Cette invention concerne divers procédés permettant d'identifier des utilisateurs et de collecter des informations à caractère démographique ou sur le marché, notamment : marquage d'un navigateur avec un repère unique à chaque demande d'utilisateur, identification de l'utilisateur par sa frappe sur le clavier ou par sa façon de cliquer avec la souris, collecte d'informations démographiques au moyen d'ensembles de données multiples et surveillance du trafic sur le réseau. De plus, on distingue un contenu demandé par un utilisateur d'un autre contenu non corrélé à un utilisateur, et l'on surveille et analyse l'utilisation faite d'un serveur en se plaçant du point de vue de l'utilisateur. Par ailleurs, des données Internet sur un utilisateur d'Internet sont acheminées vers un domaine connu d'Internet, puis de là vers un destinataire déterminé. Ce domaine comprend des mandataires qui acheminent par procuration les demandes de données de l'utilisateur vers ce domaine, et des serveurs de base de données qui constituent par filtrage une base de données relatives à l'utilisation que fait l'utilisateur d'Internet. Des données spécifiques concernant certains comportements d'intérêt, tels que des données sur des profils d'achat, qui sont filtrées et constituées en base de données, peuvent être exploitées à de multiples fins commerciales.
