Abstract
L'invention concerne un moniteur de caractéristiques s'utilisant dans un système équipé d'au moins un capteur de caractéristiques qui produit un signal indiquant une caractéristique d'un utilisateur. Le moniteur comporte un boîtier, un récipient à bande de test, un récepteur de capteur et un processeur. Le récipient à bande de test sert à recevoir et à tester la bande de test exposée à un analyte afin de déterminer la quantité de l'analyte. Le récepteur de capteur est utilisé pour recevoir des signaux de données de capteur produits par le(s) capteur(s) de caractéristiques. Le processeur est couplé au récepteur et au récipient à bande de test pour traiter la quantité déterminée de l'analyte et le signal de données de capteur provenant du/des capteur(s) de caractéristiques. Le moniteur de caractéristiques peut comporter en outre un émetteur couplé au processeur pour transmettre les signaux traités vers un autre dispositif de réception de données. De préférence, l'émetteur émet les signaux traités par radiofréquences. Le moniteur de caractéristiques peut comporter également un écran pour afficher la quantité déterminée de l'analyte et les signaux traités provenant du capteur de caractéristiques. Le moniteur de caractéristiques peut comporter en outre une mémoire pour stocker la quantité déterminée de l'analyte provenant du récipient à bande de test et les signaux de données de capteur traités provenant du/des capteur(s) de caractéristiques. De plus, les signaux de données de capteur peuvent être reçues par le récepteur de capteur en continu, de manière quasi continue et/ou intermittente.
