Abstract

DETERGENT COMPOSITION

The invention comprises liquid, non-aqueous compositions comprising:
liquid nonionic surfactant in an amount of 25 to 75% by weight; having suspended therein 20 to 75% of solid particulate material with a surface weighted mean particle size in the range 1 to 100µ
which comprises a combination of i) from 5 to 72% by weight of one or more salts which form hydrate(s) stable at 20°C but are present in an anhydrous or incompletely hydrated state, together with ii) from 3 to 70% by weight of one or more salts which has no stable hydrate at 20°C.
The combination of hydratable and non-hydratable salts enhances suspending properties while inhibiting excess gelling.
