Abstract
A B S T R A C T
An insulated drop plate comprised of a back plate having an opening for the mail. Having two hinges at its upper part to attach a cover to. A frame for retaining a first insulation around its perimeter and around the opening. Suitable insulation. This back plate being also provided with an upper curved extension to cover and conceal said hinges.
A cover provided with two complementary hinges to be articulated with the first hinges on the back plate.
And with a frame around the perimeter for the retention of a second insulation.
A wire joining the first and secon d hinges. And a coil spring on the wire to keep the cover normally closed.

Description
S P E C I I C A T I O N
The present invention relates to an insulated letter drop plate.
It is known the use of letter drop plates which are not provided with a means to seal will not protect the house against the penetration of warm or cold air frolrl the outside when the device is closed.
The present invention alleviates this draft aspect which is very important by using -An insulated drop plate comprising:-(~) A back plate having an opening for the mail, two hinges at its upper part and a frame for retaining a first insulation around its perimeter and opening, said back plate being also provided with an upper curved extention to cover said hinges;
cover provided firstly with two complementary hinges to be articulated with the first hinges, and secondly with a frame around its perimeter for the retention of a second insulation;
(C) A wire for joining said first and second hinges, and (D) A coil spring on said wire to keep said cover normally closedO

C L A I M I
An insulated drop plate comprising:-(A) A back plate having an opening for the mail, two hinges at its upper part and a frame or retaining a first insulation around its perimeter and around the opening, said back plate being also provided with an upper curved extension to cover said hinges;
(B) A cover provided firstly with two complementary hinges to be articulated with the first hinges, and secondly with a frame around its perimeter for the retention of a second insulation;
(C) A wire for joining said first and second hinges, and (D) A coil spring on said wire to keep said cover normally closed.
