Abstract
Artigo e métodos de formação do mesmo Um método para consolidar materiais articulados em artigos tendo combinações de propriedades não disponíveis por processos convencionais por sinterização em fase líquida. Estes materiais particulados são compreendidos de partículas de núcleo individualmente revestidas com camadas de um composto metálico tendo uma resistência à fratura relativamente mais elevada do que o núcleo, tal como WC ou TaC. Estas partículas revestidas incluem uma camada exterior compreendida de um metal, tal como Co ou Ni. As partículas com estas camadas são comprimidas para formar um artigo e o artigo tornado denso a pressões e temperaturas em que a densidade plena é alcançada sem a degradação do material que forma a partícula do núcleo.
