Abstract

"ACOPLADOR". Um acoplador de extremidade aberta para unir uma tubulação a uma maior abertura define uma passagem tendo seções retilínea e angulada. A seção retilínea tem um diâmetro interno uniforme, concêntrico em torno de uma linha central, dimensionado para receber o diâmetro externo da tubulação. A seção angulada tem uma extremidade estreita com um diâmetro interno menor do que aquele de uma extremidade larga e da seção retilínea, e tendo pelo menos a mesma dimensão do diâmetro interno da tubulação. A seção angulada tem uma porção superior acima da linha central que pelo menos em parte aumenta em raio desde a extremidade estreita para a extremidade larga. Uma porção inferior tem um raio constante, pelo menos ao longo de uma linha que se estende entre as extremidade estreita e larga em uma posição das seis horas com relação à extremidade aberta da seção angulada. Uma ranhura de face retém um anel-O e uma aba de alinhamento fixa a orientação rotacional do acoplador.
