A presente invenção está relacionada à sintese de 2<39>1desoxi-<39>-L-timidina, 2<39>-desoxi-<225>-L-uridina e 2<39>-desoxi-<225>-Lcitidina, e seus derivados, como pró-medicamentos- de 3<39> -0acil ou 3<39>,5<39>-0-diacil, que incluem os pró-medicamentos 3<39>O-L-aminoacil e 3<39>,5<39>-0-L-diaminoacil, e particularmente os pró-medicamentos 3<39>-0-L-valinil e 3<39>,5<39>-0-L-divalinil.
