"PROCESSOS PARA USAR UMA ESTAçãO DE COMUNICAçãO MóVEL EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIOS PARA MEDIR RESPECTIVOS TEMPOS DE CHEGADA DE SINAIS DE RáDIO RESPECTIVAMENTE TRANSMITIDOS POR UMA PLURALIDADE DE TRANSMISSORES DE RáDIO NA REDE, PARA LOCALIZAR A POSIçãO DE UMA ESTAçãO DE COMUNICAçãO MóVEL EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIOS, E PARA DETERMINAR O TEMPO DE CHEGADA DE UM SINAL DE RáDIO EM UMA ESTAçãO DE COMUNICAçãO DE RáDIO QUE OPERA EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIOS, E, APARELHOS PARA USO NA LOCALIZAçãO DA POSIçãO DE UMA ESTAçãO DE COMUNICAçãO MóVEL EM UMA REDE DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIOS, E PARA MEDIR O TEMPO DE CHEGADA DE UM SINAL DE RáDIO NELE". A mobile communication station (MS 1) within a wireless communication network is used to measure the respective arrival times for radio signals transmitted respectively by a plurality of radio transmitters (23, 28) on the network. The mobile communication station is provided with indicative real time difference information (RTDs) of differences between a time base (60) used by a radio transmitter (23) serving the mobile communication station and respective time bases used by the other radio transmitters. The mobile communication station determines, in response to the real time difference information and relative to the time base used by the radio transmitter serving the mobile communication station, a plurality of points at times at which the respective radio signals are expected. arrive at the mobile communication station.
