Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"ELETRODOS COM BASE EM CARBONO"<D>. Um eletrodo com base em carbono para a redução eletroquímica de súlfur ou oxigênio, que compreende um núcleo de eletrodo e, em contato direto com ele, uma estrutura compreendendo um carbono ativado particulado poroso ligado com um material aglutinador polimérico, caracterizado pelo fato de que a estrutura é pelo menos de 1 mm de espessura, em que o carbono ativado particulado é preparado de um material lignocelulósico e tem as seguintes propriedades: i) um tamanho de partícula na faixa de 200 a 850 Ám; ii) um volume de poro de 0,45 a 1,0 cm³ por grama; iii) uma área de superfície na faixa de 800 a 1500 m²/g; e em que o aglutinador é empregado em uma quantidade não excedendo 25% em peso com base na mistura de carbono ativado e material aglutinador.
