In addition, hair treatment compositions are exposed which comprise: (a) an effective amount of an optical brightener that has a molar extinction coefficient of at least about 28,000 of an absorption peak between a wavelength from about 1 nm to about 420 nm; (b) a dispersion particle which has an average particle size of at least about 0.03 µm; and (c) a support. There are also exposed processes to protect hair from UV light by applying an optical brightener to the hair.
