Trata-se de um dispositivo eletrônico, tal como um dispositivo de jogo, que pode reduzir um tempo de leitura das informações de indicação visualmente reconhecíveis formadas em um CD-ROM, e que pode garantir a segurança e rejeitar ou excluir com eficácia produtos falsificadas. O dispositivo eletrônico compreende uma unidade de montagem de CD-ROM na qual deve ser montado um CD-ROM 12 contendo informações de indicação visualmente reconhecíveis; uma unidade de detecção de informações 18 que detecta as informações específicas selecionadas das informações da unidade que constituem as informações de incação; e uma unidade de comparação 19 que armazena os dados base D correspondentes aos dados A a serem comparados, sendo que a unidade de comparação 19 compara as informações específicas com os dados A a serem comparados correspondentes aos dados base D, e gera uma saída do resultado comparado.
