Abstract

"MéTODO PARA FIAçãO E ESTIRAMENTO SIMULTáNEOS DE FIOS CONTìNUOS QUE CONSISTEM EM UM OU MAIS FILAMENTOS". é apresentado um método para fiação e estiramento simultâneos de fios contínuos que consistem de pelo menos um filamento. Dito método envolve as seguintes etapas: uma massa fundida consistindo de um material termoplástico é alimentada a um dispositivo de fiação; a massa fundida é extrusada através de uma fieira por intermédio de aberturas de extrusão, formando de fios contínuos; os ditos fios contínuos são guiados através de uma primeira e uma segunda áreas de resfriamento de modo a serem resfriados essencialmente por uma corrente de ar na primeira área e essencialmente por um líquido na segunda área, dito líquido consiste, total ou parcialmente, de um constituinte que é líquido na temperatura ambiente; e os fios contínuos são em seguida secados, estirados e enrolados por meio de dispositivos de enrolamento. O meto da invenção é caracterizado pelo fato de que os fios contínuos são guiados através da primeira e da segunda áreas de resfriamento a uma velocidade de até 500 m/min, e de que o tempo de residência dos fios contínuos dentro da primeira zona de resfriamento é de pelo menos 0,1 segundo.
