Abstract
"MéTODO PARA AUMENTAR A CELULOSE E MODIFICAR A BIOSSìNTESE DE LIGNINA EM PLANTAS". Esta invenção refere-se a moléculas de polinucleotídeos codificando celulose sintase, promotores de celulose sintase e polipeptídeos de celulose sintase, processos para alterar geneticamente biossíntese de celulose e lignina, e processos para aperfeiçoamento de propriedades de resistência de madeira e fibra jovens em árvores. A invenção ainda refere-se a processos para identificação de elementos reguladores em um promotor celulose sintase e fatores de transcrição que se ligam a tais elementos reguladores, e a processos para aumentar expressão de polinucleotídeos operavelmente ligados a um promotor celulose sintase."METHOD FOR INCREASING CELLULOSE AND MODIFYING LIGNIN BIOSYNTHESIS IN PLANTS". This invention relates to polynucleotide molecules encoding cellulose synthase, cellulose synthase promoters and cellulose synthase polypeptides, processes for genetically altering cellulose and lignin biosynthesis, and processes for enhancing young wood and fiber resistance properties in trees. The invention further relates to methods for identifying regulatory elements in a cellulose synthase promoter and transcription factors that bind to such regulatory elements, and to methods for increasing expression of polynucleotides operably linked to a cellulose synthase promoter.
