Title cpds. are of formula: (where n is 1 or 2; R1 is H, F, Cl, Br, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy and R2 is H, Cl, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy, or R1 and R2 together form -OCH2O-R3 is H, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; R4 is OH, lower alkyl-carbonyloxy or lower alkoxy, or when n is 1, R4 may also be lower monoalkylcarbamoyloxy; R5 is H, F, or Cl, and A is CO, 1,3-dioxolan-2-ylidene or 1,3-dioxan-2-ylidene), including their salts with mineral and organic acids. They may be prepd. e.g. by oxidn. of cpds. in which A represents a CHOH radical, or etherification of cpds. in which R4 is OH.
