Abstract

Films of plastic material, covering a wooden panel, are polymerised by subjecting the film to u.v. radiation by passage under u.v. lamps while the film is maintained at a temp. which is a function of the plastic material composn. by air circulating above the film. The air is blown perpendicularly or practically perpendicularly to the film in the form of several jets covering all the surface of the film, and is evacuated at least partly around the lamps so as to cool them.
